Dupe items scam

Okay, so I had a +9 Deviant FaW ea8 I traded +200m zeny for a +9 medical scrub the other day, I logged in after maintance and its gone.. Why would people do this to people like me who enjoy iRO.. I submitted a ticket and still have gotten no response. im really upset I lost so much zeny off this one item. anyone please help get rid of these dupe people

No worries, most cases those who sold you the items don't even know it is dupe. The GM will return you the item or zeny if you include screenshot of the trade in the ticket.

I got into a situation where someone traded me an imperial feather and it was duped -- I always take a screenshot and submit item verification now for anything that's worth over 1b. They immediately reversed the trade. 

 

Funny thing is, the guy who traded me it asked if my item that I was trading him was duped. What a dingus.

That’s why I even don’t even dare to buy bbs or fragments on the markets because I don’t know whether they are dupe or not. It’s time to request gm trade everything.

All my item verification has been done in less than 24 hours, I just do the trade and screenshot every interaction including the chat if we are drawing an agreement/terms of the trade. 

 

Anyway, to whoever is duping, I hope they get their entire account nuked. 

I'm honestly puzzled on how item duping happens. 

I'm actually scared at this point because it may happen to me without my knowledge.
