Remove the reset stone requirement from 3rd jobs quests

Hey Campiton,

Recently, i came across a bunch of new players trying out iRO for the first time, thanks to Janeway

However once they finish Janeway quest, they hit their first big wall: not only they need to buy new (and expensive) gears to level their new characters, they also need to spend 8m zenies ~~ to even start the 3rd job quest.

It is not reasonable to expect new players to pay for VIP or to farm 8m zenies, when they are only "testing out" iRO for the first time.

And there is another problem: Most profitable maps at 1-99 level range are full of bots (ie hunter fly / strawberry maps).

Because of this, new players are forced to compete with those beep-beep guys which is the worst experience iRO can give.

So, i would like to ask if it is possible to remove this requeriment from 3rd jobs quests.

(in no way my new 22 characters from Janeway would benefit from it)

Almost everybody is in their uber late game anyway. Removing a few hurdles during the early parts of the game most probably wouldn't hurt any sort of balance.

I think if you hit them with a free weekend VIP that's timed after janeway ends, it'll kind of allow for an easy transition as well if you don't want to outright remove the stone requirement. 

or farm Novus BB, easy badges.

Farm EMB tru going Low Ti everyday, If they cant get past tru that then safe to say this game isn't for them..... If meet newbie, give them some pointer on how to proceed based on their budget, willing-ness to spend. Heck i meet one or two that dont know Janeway up to this point in low ti alone. 

Banner in loading screen promoting current event would be helpful in spreading current useful current information. though yeah you need some kind of dedicated graffic designer. I suggest oursource that player that do drawing and stuff. Instead of getting getting a mixed of half-assed arts and a really good one, at least it could give some information to players.

Reset stone is only 1% of the problem on playing ragnarok. 

If they can't do something about it, what more for the rest of 99% of the problem.

doing low ti is fine, hunting bb's is fine, i even had a friend going for the surveys just to get a 100kp magical stone's worth lol

having janeway is fine, but see it as part of the bigger picture, you train to farm with yourself being 99/70 already. if you can't, choose to get vip if that's the route you want to take. what more could one ask for?

You must be new, cause 90% of the time Sakray isn't even up for players to use.

As well as Sakray is an unfair representation of Ragnarok, as you can attain max level via npc in town.

Attitudes like this is why the server and game are suffering and why players refuse to continue playing.

I'm surprised more people are against this than for it, I spent over 500m buying reset stones for people. I cant understand how such a normal step in the game is behind a pay wall. Warps I get, death penalty I get, heck I even get the gimped gramps and quest exp/jp. But people need to transcend, people need to go third class the game doesn't even start until 140+.

I think NEW players should LEARN how to play the game, and not to just click an NPC and BEG for a living.

Too much babysitting doesn't even make you PLAY the game normally.

There are lots of useful links to begin with, all they have to do is to READ them.

There won't be any excuse if they can't read English, they chose an English server for God's sake.

Again, this stems to janeway being stupid for new players. It is an alt builder or a fast forward for existing ones.

New players learn little to nothing, get next to no zeny or items and by not doing a BB focused approach or doing no Low TI get no EMBs for their work therefore are left scrambling at the 99/70 mark.

Oops, not being productive towards healthy server chat.

Janeway is actually already a good help for newbies (specially if they really wanted to have an advantage among others in this game).

Protip for newbies:

a. make all three Ragnarok logins inside your Warpportal account

b. fill up every character slot (9 total)

 - make sure every ragnarok account has a merchant class (with vending, discount, and overcharge)

 - get atleast an acolyte class in one of the accounts (for your NON VIP warps)

 - make sure your MAIN character can farm zennies at 99/70 ~ 3rd job

 - consider making a rebel -> gunslinger as a starter for easy zeny

c. i don't know what else you guys want other than trying to make the server look like a private one

What they need is a more structured tutoring leveling system that slowly transitions them into actual game play. People need to understand things by the time they hit third class, otherwise they will be up -_- creek without a paddle.

Janeway already made it felt like a breeze at low levels. I think it's time for new players to learn how to read. #read2lead
