Concerning dupes and item deletion

Like Fuuton said: Its about conveying the message. For a person who has no knowledge about duping and inactive on the forum (Hey, that's me) The way you just forced log out someone without any prior knowledge of what happened and coming back to see your items gone.

You could say this is Life lesson for someone, not familiar of duping and thinking to screenshot every trade I made. If that's the case I don't think losing an item and later going to the forum to find out duping existed is not a good message  for new players

Here my bread and butter solutions.

1) Instead of advertising me to buy lootbox every goddamn second in global chat. Advertise to all players that dupe items existed and take a screenshot of every trade. You might think that duped items should be common enough to have its on warning but nope. 

2) Give us a prompt to take a screenshot before accepting a trade

3) Have auto-screenshot when trading as an option and have it on as default. (inb4 people to lazy to press one button for a screenshot like me)

My +9 vanagrand is not yet refunded btw. Since i have no evidence. I cant afford a new one

At this point, either go on a do-it --yourself mode or just record every transaction. 

If I ever sold any duped item to anyone, my apology as I also probably was not aware as well.

Try to think on WP/GM team's side. They are trying to find out dupers in game & have it removed. They are not responding an e-mail because the person in possession of the dupe items may be a duper himself/herself (Though a reply from WP/GM would be nice). There are overwhelming numbers of dupers/dupe items in the server versus the number of staffs to handle the issue. Thus, an e-mail reply is unfortunately not feasible. 

If the above of my opinions are wrong, then WP/GM are unethical lazy. Nonetheless, I do not think so. 

Ticketing system don't even work most of the times.

at this point anything can be duped. Get it together WP.

I would like to know if the GM team is working on a solution or workaround for the duping problem?

How can it be possible that items go missing and there is no heads up, there is no explanation as to what is missing and how can I be sure that in the future when I buy something it will not be duped, or rmt, or "compromised"?

Workaround is possible but will do an extreme coding strategy to overcome such technical problem. I think the workforce behind this already know that duping is so close to client editing, lcs and the likes.

And I also believe that this can't be solved in a snap. The real problem is, the staff won't even bother emailing you that a certain item is gone missing which is very [Cookies].

I forwarded the concerns to the staff, do note though, feedback is appreciated but calling out WP staff with names is not tolerated. Also calling out a group of players or region is not allowed on these boards.

As on topic and my personal take on the issue,

Users should not be held accountable for the dupe situation, speaking of screenshot taking. Normally the transactions are logged at the back-end, and a screenshot should only serve as a confirmation, not a requirement (some cases are exempted).

If the GM team asked a user to provide a transaction confirmation in form of a screenshot for something they bought off a random vend then it may be for something else.

The whole situation has prolonged enough, it is awful, not only for the users but also for the staff. Been said, I'd try to put positive thoughts into it, that they are doing "something" but it is not the best nor a sufficient band-aid. Dupe deletion is ongoing regardless how we feel about it, a master solution is what we really need to be honest but it is yet to be delivered. Till then, bad items will still be purged.

They are already doing a lot better, back in summer 2018 you could be banned for possessing duped zeny/items, now you only lose the zeny/items but you wont be banned unless they have strong evidence that you buy directly from duper's illegal websites.

Curious, are they doing it on a item by item basis or per character?

Meaning, if you've had stuff deleted, are they done with that character?

wouldnt it be more efficient to code trades/vends to have a silent GM-alarm trigger that recognizes that an item is duped? i say more efficient, but not assuming that this would be easy given the game's initial programmer layout. but at least this way you save staff having to manually do it one by one or char-by-char.

Im just a newbie wanting to now WHAT IS DUPPING and HOW I can see if the item is dupped or not.

but IMO, probably not a duper's shop. Why bother duping all of those trash cards? Either an extreme Old Card Album opener or a botter cleaning up storage. Could be a mix of both.

I submitted many tickets and nothing was done about the vendors who scam people by selling an item with a similar sprite worth x100 times less. Let people post screenshots here since GMs are incompetence. At least this will allow players to be vigilant in avoiding getting scam.

I cannot discuss with you here GM handling, for that please contact Familiar on forums they should be able to see what's up with that.

But to answer you directly, we cannot turn this thread into a call out thread, it won't end well..

Maybe duping issue cannot be solved but I think players just want some transparency and communication from GM team.

Leaving players in the dark is a bad idea.

Well I just hope my vana is atleast refunded. It took 7months to farm for it. Best wishes for the staff, kinda wished it didnt happened this New year. Also kinda wish their was atleast a warning what happened and not just putting me in a empty login screen with no message

Just an advice, i know this will take a lot of work for GM Team, but since a few months, every eden deal I made was followed by a ticket with the SS and a recording of the deal, so I'm making sure im buying a legit item. Is not like I would like to lost 2b instant.
