Hello guys, how are u all?
Well, I'm trying to play ragnarok again, but I need some tips. The last time I played the game was in 2007, and I know there is a lot of changes.
Can u guys give me a little help with... all? XD, Zenny making, tips for a good start, and some sites with content? I know the iRO wiki and only.
Oh, I'm started with a Thief, I'm going to GX, but all the build and guides here are outdated, and I would like some tips with this too.

Oh, one more thing, I'm not a hardcore player, I'm casual. :D

Ty all <3.

Well, all the GX builds there are still usable just not "the best". Same principles still stand. First question is, what's your budget and available gears?

If you're in zeroes, well, begin with the Eden Quests. Grab everything that drops and sell with a merchant. If you're lucky with a cool card drop, you can speed the gearing process. Some cool ones are Thara Frog, Skeleton Archer, PecoPeco Egg, PecoPeco, Hydra and Hunter Fly. It's gonna be slow at first, but it will be speeding up.

For stats, go Agi, Str, then some VIT. Get some DEX at the start to not miss and use katars when you get to Assassin to Crit. Eden gears are busted, so no need to worry too much about them. Just get a Crimson Katar, Neutral and Holy being the better ones. Fire also useful. Crimson katars are cheap (except Holy one) and you can farm them in Glast Heim Prison once you get there.

If you're willing to spend money, get VIP as it will make things smoother and if you grab some VIP package, use the money to fund yourself. Sell utility items (Neuralizer, Heavy Lifter Box, Name Change, Enriched/HD Ore boxes, etc.) or try luck with OCP/Costumes boxes. I think the single most useful piece of equipment for GXes starting up is a +9 Heroic Backpack. If you card it with a Deviling, it'll get you to the end of the world, I swear. Raydric is fine as well. Then, focus on a leech gear. +9 Rideword Hat/Cursed Book is the standard. Put a Marduk in it and that's a great piece of GX gear. If you wanna go the extra mile, get a +10 Evil Dragon Armor instead. With Leech and Backpack secured, the rest of the gears are sort of irrelevant. and even then, these are not necessary, just make your life easier.

Thief is a good class to begin with, as it's easy to use, cheap to gear and efficient farmers.

I think it would also greatly help if you can find someone you can connect with in-game, to open up learning from a player who's more familiar with the current version of RO. Also if you plan to farm for the stuff you need, then I'd recommend you level up and strengthen your character first so farming will be easier and go more efficiently.

As for websites go, here's some of the most useful ones I know:
www.irowiki.org   -   you already know about this but if anything feels off/out-dated then let us know so we can check

db.irowiki.org   /   calc.irowiki.org   /   irowiki.org/~himeyasha/skill5   -   just some notable pages from irowiki

www.divine-pride.net   -   database but has lots of features too

ragial.org   -   a digital listing of most of the player shops in-game
