if we were to have every desirable item in game available in cash shop as well as pvm obtainable, that would suffice? so that people have the option to spend on things regularly or grind for them. mostly supplies, catalysts (being of continuous use, and bot ruled mind you) and ocps available in both both ways

completely agree with the points brought on here.
this game used to be quite interensting because there was content that was unsoloable wich forced people to actually party up and tackle the challenge wich doesnt happen now a days. (PvP doesnt count anymore, since the mechanic is pretty toxic 1 shot or git gud).
i think what would infuse life in this game and get people to spend on OCPs is what blackcross said, A REASON TO ADQUIRE THE NEW POWER OCP. Maybe camp could work a monthly event of hard challenges (comunity work perhaps) where people are forced to either get uberly decked and still pour skill, or get them to work together and still have a challenge, with ofcourse a proper reward. something for example, Beat this 3 MvPs with user custom AI in a PvP enabled map (i would refrain on the pvp part, perhaps there could be some other restrictions to make it challenging) and get 1 brownie point (limit 1 per day), the point is, get the players to work for it without farming it and yet make it frustrating enough to make them feel they need to get stronger.
there had been a lot of sugestions i n the past, the problem is they dont take them serious enough. For example, before the OCPs became a thing, it got sugested to make Kafra gear at the best, second best in slot, with the BiS being only IG obtainable and acount bound (somewhat like Bio5 hats), but that ship sailed a long time ago, so i would really sugest that they take theyr players more serious

At this point what do you guy still have to worry about? lol. I don't want to turn this thread into another iRO server battle it's just that there are really few people you could play against specially the gear swap system has been implemented.

But regardless it seems that with the reduction in population (supposedly due to ROM) the whales have migrated.
Please pardon me for just skimming through and if anyone else already mentioned...
Why is ROM an excuse to RO1 dying? Both games are on different platforms, one is mobile, one is PC game. It should NOT be rivaling with each other. In fact, quite the contrary, ROM have the massive opportunity to be utilized as a way to cross promote RO1 and help bring players back. Gravity and WP didn't do that. They just slipped on this massive opportunity.
Many other game companies would often do cross promotion on their different titles to keep their DAU up, WP/ Gravity didn't even try. Consider this a huge failing on both WP and Gravity's marketing department, (if it even exist). I got a feeling I know why WP and Gravity isn't collaborating, either way it's not healthy for both side and no one should be surprised with the current state of the game.
Like usual though, these discussion will fall into deaf ears anyways and get swept under the rug. No one should be surprised. :/

Different platform is not an excuse that ROM can't be played in PC
in fact majority of whales I knew and played with in ROM is playing it in PC, which brings a whole much better benefits than playing it in cellphone.

That's a valid point for sure. I am under the impression that ROM is still designed for mobile platform, it will have it's limitation.
I refuse to touch another game from Gravity after watching how mismanage RO1 became over the years, so I can't tell for sure.
So if anyone who loved RO1 played ROM can chime in that if it is a legit replacement to RO1, I'd like to hear about it.
Without internal statistic, it's difficult to pint point how many users actually played ROM on PC. So we can only speculate here, still doesn't mean that they couldn't have done cross promotion though. :v

I believe it works the opposite way as you've mentioned, the game in fact can be fully utilized by playing it in PC instead of cellphones.
for instance, you can run 8 or more game clients of ROM in PC and making several parties to make leveling a breeze, getting more rewards from events.
I believe majority of cellphone players populations in ROM way below than people with several alts in PC, just like how biased iRO actual players population is.

GM just dont care the game as long as they got money for them. They should hire staffs that can create new event. The event now is ridiculous, they just ask player to make event, are you -_-ing serious, just because you dont have idea of new event, stop ask player for idea, its just horrible, just hire proper staff that care about game and have creativity, dont just keep repeat event and copy event from another site like JRO, KRO, BRO, its so boring and the reward so bad compare to OCP, its not fun at all. I still remember when i start play this game, and i am always looking forward to do the event, but now its so disappointed.
if you want earn money from OCP, at least pay attention to the game and pls pls pls make event that NEW for us, dont just boring event that you ask idea from player, and the reward is only stupid costume or title, make it longer and worth it ( i remember before like crown of deceit event from couple years ago, its long event and worth of time to finish the quest and the reward is good, crown of deceit at that time is worth it, compare to nowadays quest when you guys just give stupid costume).
HOPE STAFFS CAN READ AND PAY ATTENTION TO PLAYER CONCERN NOT ONLY CARE ABOUT MONEY MONEY MONEY FROM OCP

I dunno what people's hang-ups are about it, either. Whatever fears they may have had about pRO having "op gear" stopped mattering in 2018 given what all was sent down the pipe line.
At this point consolidating the player base seems like a no-brainer given how many ways the same target audience has been split.

Instead of OCP, all WL and Sorc needed was a change to how their core weapons worked.
Add 40% bypass to all one handed staff, 70% to two handed staff, and suddenly the MDEF issue did not need to BE an issue, since there would be means to achieve 85%+ on items for the stupid imbalanced monster values.

Slow updates didn’t kill the game.
Class imbalances didn’t kill the game.
We all try to blame irrelevant things to our convenience. Truth is we know exactly what killed the game. To be precise, what killed WoE and put the game in this hilarious state. Server that has no WoE won’t last long.
And for the last time, do you even play RoM? That game is not even a MMORPG. Half of population in SEA already quit that game and it’s not even one year old yet lol.

It's true, I don't even update my PVM gears at all, but I always had to keep up on OCP just because of WoE. Which makes it kinda funny cause Camp pretty much neglected the bunch of people that would probably have spent the most on OCPs to keep their gears at competitive level. Round table discussion for WoE since October, haven't seen a single new thing. Discussed with kRO studio 12/11, where did that discussion go?
