Question regarding JDR

+0 is around 20B  i think maybe like15-20

that's debatable, and mostly up to each one's preference.


There's a damage increase, yes, but you will sacrifice a lot of points (as you pointed out, GXes simply dont grab int, ever) in order to do so, wich will lower other things such as aspd, hp, etc, and you will then have to make up with other stuff.


Personally, i like the Imperial Set more in this case. It's behind in terms of atk, but doesnt use an otherwise wasted stat, and has neat perks wich you can make use of.

When is crimson better than JDR?

1. That is when you need to have holy element to get the maximum elemental advantage(your crimson has to be holy of course). Although you can always ask some friend priest to cast aspersio on you, some mobs/boss do also cast dispell. Or you are a soloist, which means the only other(reliable) way to enchant your weapon with holy property is by using aspersio scrolls. Miracle Blue rose might be a thing but I find the proc chance highly unreliable even with 193 aspd, also just a minute duration is very short.

2. When going DD crit(2x +15crimson dagger is godly BTW, well even 2x +13crimson dagger would suffice).

My take on JDR:

When paired with Immortal Dog Tag, it is indeed the best katar for CRS build. Indestructible, Very high base weapon atk, 2 slotted, malangdo enchantable.

Downside is, you are compelled to use up 1 accessory slot for the Immortal Dof Tag. With the introduction of more OP OCP accessories, it can be quite a dilemma if you'd want to use up the ace slot for PDM or ROJ or Verus Core(for perfect hit & elemental dmg mod) or Bakonawa Tattoo(for the size dmg mod in case you're not using tengu set). 

JDR+dogtag and roj way to go since there is enforcer shoes for 100% def pierce.
