Which one do you choose and why? I'm getting a gift and need to choose one or the other.

First of all, that's one HECK of a gift. Dayum. Gratz on having someone willing to give a gift like that.
Second, Fafnir is coming out and will practically cover you on both ends XD
I'd go for Kiel 9 times out of 10. Way more classes can take advantage of it and in this case, you can use it with Fafnir. Tao is still great, don't get me wrong, but you will get the most out of a Kiel easier.

Get the Kiel. Fafnir Armor is coming soon which means you could easily achieve a 90% delay reduction RK with more damage than a Tao.

30% Temporal Ring
20% TGL
4-6% PDM
6% Faceworm Combo
=90-92% ACD
The kiel does still give you an advantage over the above RK build by allowing you to go mace+shield. Valk hammed for that additional 10-14VIT and HP/SP from excellion/Scutum shield. Mostly it’s the shield slot that is most important if you own a GTB card to make everything i game a joke (except valk ahahaha).

ps: 97% delay (edit its 98%) on mine. without acc card or kiel
gwiber is 12% with 120 int dex.

Fun fact, 75% is fine, 90% is if you can do 3 or so per second, 4 if you dance, anything more is dodgy.

yes 75% fine , In data only 0.2 cooldown means you can spam DB 5 times per sec (188aspd) < If you don't have hard motion (so sad DB has hard animation)Fun fact, 75% is fine, 90% is if you can do 3 or so per second, 4 if you dance, anything more is dodgy.

Im not sure right rhythm can do in iRo or not because DB in iro has 0.2 sec cooldown but in tRo yes you can spam DB in right rhythm waiting for others player confirm In iRo case

to get a perfect barrage of DB while standing still it depends on your aspd, cast time, cast delay, ping to the server,command input interval, etc. Each one of us would have a different "perfect setup", but getting reliable 4 DB/s isnt unheard of.

In their servers, they don’t have the global CD. So they can do no-walk spam officially by going beyond 100% ACD. In the test, they can actually precast another DB while the hand is raised when using DB, so it goes on forever without the hand going down (which is what caused the stop in casting). That’s why they say you need to have some cast, where in twRO they can go 7DB a sec even without sprite edit.
We can still do that in IRO but it is not as easy since there is a global CD preventing us from precast before 0.2 sec. So if you want to do this method, you will need to have longer than 0.2sec cast time and some insane ping rhythm to make another cast before the hand go down. In this case, you may be able to be hit4 DB a sec without moving, but it is not all the time and troublesome having to time ur cast time and all that ping/lag stuff. My conclusion is that no point trying to do this, it is way better to go for instant cast (or as fast as you can) for max benefits with just plain old walking animation cancel. Once you hit no cast, walk db is able to secure you 3 DB a sec pretty reliable, sometimes 4.
Using animation edits(illegal) is the only way to get reliably almost 5 DB a sec, unless you want to be hitlock all the time.

on a side note i just finished faceworm nest in ~8min on my db rk without doing all the stuff that record breakers usually do to save time. Feels good. DB RK is up there now!
