Still survive?

Long time dont post or even check forums for fun, anyway, some friends ask me to play again, i really miss play RO, but here are my questions before download the game again:

 

1.- how bad/good is the amount of players nowadays? last time i check (i think was already 2 years) was 2.1k-2.4k players online, increase a bit or decrease a lot?
 

2.- Finally there are already updates on iRO like Nightmare OGH? Mado Gear update? Gene nerf?

 

3.- OCP still in bussines pretty sure, so, is finally get some fixes?

 

4.- How bad is the economy? is like Venezuela? billions of zenny just for 1 ramdom gear?

 

5.- How about reports? still no working (mean anyone still can doing kill steal without punish?)

6.- Maintenance still need like 8+ hours to finish every week?

 

7.- I still remeber was a future update about disable sell items like gold, silver, etc to NPC just to "stop the dupe abuse..." something stupid like that, after i read that will be change, but at end i dont know how that topic end since there was a lot of ramdom post there and GMs are know for never update the main post in any topic so... how end?

1. Log in game yourself to see how active it is. Though numbers can be inaccurate due to bots and AFK genders and alts. Too lazy to download? Just check this forums to see how it is. You should get your answer.

2. No updates. Don’t bother with RoM either. WoE was skipped in SEA RoM but Gasha items (OCPs) never miss. Go figure.

3. Yes they are getting fix’s.

4. Inflation seems to cause by players greed. Everyone just keeps asking for more and more. I actually like this. Less trades, self farm.

6. The only way to make sure stuff works properly is to spend the right amount of time for it. Sure, there may be some bugs that elude maint testing, but, it would be way worse if they rushed it everytime. It's just one day a week too.

To be honest, Camp did a good job at bringing new updates. We got new cards and new interesting features. Lacking of updates should not be an excuse to leave iRO. Rune implement? NOGH? Even if we had these updates, people would still either quit or demand other updates.

 

PvE gets boring fast, WoE doesnt and it's what it keeps players log in game. That's as far as I'm aware of how [ Ninja Strike !! ] servers keep their players. Sad but true ... [ Ninja Strike !! ] population is at least twice bigger than iRO population.

 

I love RO ofc but I dont know what log in for.

 

1. To make a RG guide? Hello, throughout effort of making RG guides, people still dont really want to try it. When we were about to get some nice RG gears, people who constantly die to RG just have to get [ Ninja Strike !! ] and try to nerf items because RG is too strong already.

2. To farm items? Well ... PvE wise, RG is weaker than some other classes. Why would people waste time to invest on an inefficient class to do PvE? It is a WoE class dammit.

3. To WoE? War of Ghosts? 

4. To spend money to support iRO? Hello, spend money to buy trash RG items? Not to mention, dupped items everywhere.

But yes, my point is, every game has something to attract their players base.

 

I agree Campitor (and the rest of the staff) do a good job bringing updates, but we are far away from kRO in updates. Its a race we are not going to tie ever.

 

The effort is appreciate, I hope someday iRO will grow the population, but its hard to believe it will happen someday. I will be here til the day iRO dies

Current iro:
-Lack advertising
-unable to maintenance their player both in game and real life.
-game unbalance will never balance.
-lack guide and depth to new player.
-slow update from KRo

What Wp staff do:
-increase advertise on youtube,
-let wp staff playing together with player
-speed up udpate

1. returning now is useless, u would have to spend $$$ just to gamble for some real gears (ocp) or buy from online (facebook always have great deals)

Everything is enjoyable and fun in moderation. I played iRO on and off and it's pretty reliable considering all these negative threads that sometimes pop up, I think iRO will survive it's been 10 years and counting and the server is still holding up.

Why should I spent my precious time after work to fight something that I can not win?

I don't want my character to become punching bag of OP character who can kill their enemy meanwhile have super duper ultra demi human reduction that impossible to scratch.

 

Does balance exist on this server?

I don't think so.

 

The balance is when you can counter enemy and kill them and you also could be killed by your enemy.

Also balance is when all chars on any class can stick to their role and be their best in it without being hopelessly destroyed by a broken and outdated game mechanic nor a broken item, woe is not just about kill this guy kill that guy be the best by catching em all bs simply because this is neither pvm nor even pvp we are talking about.

if that kind of "balance" existed on RO it would just be an endless stalemate where no side can really kill the other.

Dont get me wrong, there are some terrible stuff out there, but as far as woe is concerned, i much prefer the "broken stuff" that can actually be countered by proper teamwork, class composition and knowledge, rather than your own self.

Classes are pretty balanced in iRO. Some classes are geared for WoE while the others are geared for PvE. Before you want to talk about balances, why dont you fix something obviously easy ... hello, cheaters say hi. I'm just here to read the same complaints, so I can give out the same responses

And i really wanted to play some RO, does anybody knows how to play on JRO? because honestly i think it will take me less time learning japanese than waiting for Warp Portal to give us new updates.
