Illusion dungeons are pretty dope

I’ll take the chance to say something here.

Which instances are you farming that don’t sell?
Some are profitable in their own way but not as much as you’d expect.

Also in PVM you can sell stuff like giant faceworm snake skins, Thanatos weapons, you can create safe certificates, run, ET and make some profits, OPB are worth something. I know we will reach a point in which we say “but OCP gears cost billions”

I re rolled the cheaper items at grandma boxter, just because I wanted to see how far I could get. Huge sacrifice for huge rewards.

Also, when it comes to the argument that OCP are stronger than most in-game gears, I agree, but at the same time...no one told us that they were the only gears available or that we should rely on them for everything.

I won’t lie, I do have some OCP gears from grandma boxter, but I mainly use them to farm, but I do play without OCP gears when I play with my friend.

The game is what you make of it, I believe. But hey that’s just my opinion, it’s a good chat to have every now and then.

I doubt about people even use thana weapon nowadays. It is totally useless besides leveling up as a noob. Second, you can sell snake skin not because it can be used as a gear, it is just able to exchange to emb. My point is we need some new instances that can actually replace gears from OCPs. If all game goal is to get rich and get the best gear, but you realize the gears don’t even require to farm, and it is able to acquire within cash. tbh, the OCP is way too easy to obtain with cash player and way too hard to obtain by pure pvm player because everyone wants OCP instead, and no such reward from instance is rare and considerably expensive, except mvp card( it is just pure luck).

Faceworm skins can be turned to EMB which Can then be turned to buffs that can help level or farm or sell for zeny, yes.

OGH Normal, you can sell temporal boots of Dex EA4/SoL for about 400+ million, temporal boots of dex with EA4 and runaway magic for 800m (I seen this price for a while) oe even temporal boots or luk with aspd4/Lucky Day and it’ll sell well.

I think in iRO’s case you are right About needing stronger mobs to keep up with the OCP gear, even as a reward, yeah, that’d be cool.

When you mentioned goals, I remember my goal was having fun and making the best of the server with what iRO had to offer.

OCP makes it easy to solo but, is that the only way to play the game? What I’m getting at is that everyone has different goals, but I notice people are always looking at OCPs and trying to be stronger. If we are aware that it kinda kills the fun of us, why do we keep asking for OCP and then say that we are too strong and it gets boring?

I personally found myself distancing from OCPs and trying to play the game (like I did when I first began without any gear) and it actually makes things fun.

I even think that if we distance ourselves from high dps and trying to just solo everything and go use illusion gears or party up with our friends (and excluding the OCP gear)
I think our new goal can be to have fun and not worry about zeny because in reality we were always able to do the content without OCP and all. What do you think? I wanna hear your thoughts I don’t discuss this often with other players.

I thought the weapons were not enchantable because something was wrong with them.

Idea is, Thanatos weapons are an ingame item that will actually help get you through a lot of instances. Even as Rolling Cutter build it’s still a great item that allows for more durability when you’re out farming or running an instance.

Heck, brings back good memories.

Old stuff is old but it will last a good while.
Now if GMT had accessory enchants, I would call that content I’d be willing to run and get just to slap the buffalo cards into it and run around with those.

Great pieces of equipment that are not OCP.

While you say it is useful, it is not something easy to sell now. People can take years to sell it for 30m, and they realize an OCP is 4b. It is just not something worth to farm. You say it is not bad or trash, and we can finish any instance with no problem.  We can finish any instance with 10 year old gear with no problem. That's for sure, but there is just no new instance that can actually make money of it. Faceworm does have some income because of emb exhange, but it is like an 5+ year old instance. I see no new things that worth a farm from my prospective. It is just stupid that the only effective way to get rich is selling OCPs or WPE. It is just not like what things were 10 years ago while we can afford GTB, Kiel, or Tao with farming instance daily for few months. At that time, those mvps are just 20b. Now they are 70b.

They are but I think it's in an update we didn't get yet. We only got the official teaser trailer for it when they added the npc for Sakray Card lol

The situation is like when a portal shows up in a game's map but the actual path beyond that isn't unlocked yet

Hm? I have a friend that kinda got back into RO for a very specific playstyle(doing things in the game as a lv99 trans with only ingame equipment), and has farmed some thanatos weapons and been able to sell them. Ofc it wont sell as easily as it did in the past, but it does.

Heck, the "trash" loot from ET, stuff like Grimtooth, Long Spear, Spectral Spear, Bloody Axe, and a lot of other random stuff to this day still sell somehow. Not as efficient farming as other areas for sure, but it still works.

If it's not worth YOUR time, sure, don't do it, it doesnt promptly invalidades the content and it's rewards tho.

also, it is Non-p2w friendly, the merry badger gives you access to BMX3 buff, HE BM buff, BM Buff, HE BBG buff, normal BBG buff, rental halter lead, the rental wing of beelzebub, and the citizen oda buff, since most of these things are cash shop only, having them in the merry badger really helps alot. Heck I used them while i ran daily instances, and did the dailies for 16.1. I farmed up the Eden Merit Badges from GFSS and I got my KVM weapon, I passively do the instance while my zeny came in from safe certificates.

Farm Oridecons/Eluniums, refine, safe certificates from eat gear mimic, use the miracle buff to run instances and save up items and OCA/MCA sell those or open to try and get lucky and Deviling. 

What do you usually do to farm zeny? 

iRO is the one RO server that gives you the most opportunities to do everything in the game without spending cash money ever.

Well if x120 thana isnt worth it, one could spend the time in farming something else like for example Flattery, Consultation robe etc. Those are still pretty good, though I will still say thana weapon in itself is still pretty good. If I'm new I would go for these weapons, and even now from time to time I still use them.

 

x120 Thana is probably hard to sell, try Sakray Card perhaps?
