[PSA] Campitor Impersonated on Discord

If you are part of a Discord server and notice someone by the name of CM Campitor, please bring it to the attention of your Mods/Admin. I have spoken to said user and found that they are fake. If you have received a Direct Message from such a user, I hope you didn't reveal any personal information to them. If you did, I highly suggest that you reset your WP account password and ticket the support staff to prevent any further mishap.

I don't contact users on Discord usually, I don't do official game business through discord. I will ask to move it to forum PM/tickets if there is an issue. I do haunt discords and offer tech support suggestions to help people with users. On the off chance I am talking to you my discord name is McDaggerFace#7233. Never give me personal information or account details. If I need to do in depth account support it will be moved to tickets.

Thanks for the confirmation, Camp. Although you didn't have to reveal your account info. I got a DM from CM Campitor#3981 and said user shared screenshots of a GM character which I noticed were just client mods. This happened after I said they might be an impostor on server chat. And further requests of screenshots with the basic info window maximized went unanswered.

As of this morning I've flagged Campitor's user name in the iROWiki discord as Warpportal Friend. When he is online, you will see his username on the user list bar under its own category just like the moderators and admins are visible under their own titles. The real Campitor's name is also flagged in dark blue as it has been since he joined making it more obvious that he is a special user in our server.

I've been taking harsher steps at keeping scammers out of our discord as they've been ramping up their attacks on users. Due to the large amount of RO players present we have become a target to the same scams often found in game. If anyone here is in iROWiki discord and is approached by ANYONE claiming to be a GM or sending suspicious links, please PM myself, Blueness, or one of our active moderators so we can remove the scammer ASAP.

LOL first day back in two years. Finally got good enough internet in the stciks to play again and was hit up in payon by someone trying to convince me Camp and another CM was in a chat room with out showing up in the room list. Tried getting me to go to thier Discord. Even told them how long I have been playing still didn't occure to them I knew better. Even hopped on ROPD to tell me my mains name and job lol

I fell for it almost, until they started asking me to buy $250 in steam cards!  But seriously, my account is frozen, but I have submitted a ticket   I just hope it all works out.

Gramps at Eden already talked about asking GMs to show themselves if in doubt.
