“Fresh Drop”

Can someone please enlighten me why people would add the description “fresh drop” when they trying to sell mvp cards?
Like does it being freshly drop somehow makes it more valuable in market value?
If anything fresh drop would mean that’s it’s not verified yet so is a bad advertising strategy?
Stop telling me it’s freshly dropped because it doesn’t really make me desire your card more lol
Thank you

For the most part, means that they dropped the item themselves, so there's basically 0 chances of any GM verification trade reversals/item deletion/whatever shenanigans happening, unlike gear that has been around and has been traded multiple times over.

Fresh = supposedly easier for a GM to verify, less of a track record to go through as Ashuckel said.

The verification its just a query on a db. not hard to verify if its an old item or new one. (I guess?)
tbh its disgusting those with "fresh drop!" like, hey, i dont share your hype. everyone is free to announce as he/she wants, but the fresh drop thing its annoying.
Hmm, i dont like the "fresh drop" tag on the chats, hope they understand we dont care. afterall, i always verify everything expensive item no matter what.

I don't usually care if they claim it's verified in chat either, doesn't mean they couldn't be lieing and I don't have to verify it after trade anyhow, lol.

in the end it doesnt make much of a difference, other than it being less likely to be a part of a GM [Kitten] up

Even verification ticket screenshots can be easily edited...why do people bother sending or posting these

Me neither, no matter if they say its legit, fresh, single user, no matter what, always verify. Nowadays and since the GMs are unable to stop the dupe thing, you never know what you get until you verify.

When is says Freshly Drop and I buy the item, it usually feels warm to the touch.

Duping MVP Cards has been a big issue that phrases like 'Fresh Drop' it can suggest that the cards is a legit one. Then again, like in real life, this are just 'sweet' words to make the item more appealing to be bought.

That means that if it is not "Fresh" it is a Salty Drop by default.
