Production Notes: Renewal Server Reopening, First RT Update, and Future Studio Update

Hey Folks,
 
The last few months have been very busy with the testing of Easy Anti-cheat and game updates, the opening of the new Transcendence servers, and planning for the future, so let's get into it!
 
 
Servers Reopen (Feb 3rd)
The Renewal Servers will reopen Monday evening next week. Currently, Sakray is updated with many of the latest updates, and we will be porting over the latest scripts from Chaos this week. The plan is to leave Renewal Sakray online for testing over the weekend leading up to the servers reopening.
 
Renewal Server Update Contents:

• Refine UI Update
• Daily Login Reward System
• Inventory Capacity Display Update
• Vending System Update
• Memorial Dungeon System Renewal
• Item Based VIP System
• Navigation System Update
• Rodex Search Feature
• Pet Evolution System
• Homunculus Renewal Update
• Instance Improvements for Charleston Crisis and Nightmare Jitterbug (Pending Testing)

Server Move Maintenance (Feb 24th - Feb 26th)
The servers have to move physical locations. The plan is to get the movement done on day one, spend day two testing and reconnecting, and open on the third day assuming everything goes well.
 
First Major Update (March 6th)
The first major Transcendence update will arrive during this time. The plan is to include:

• The first Fever Fields
• Hugel/Abyss Lake
• Start War of Emperium 1

This content will be available on Transcendence Sakray midway through February for testing.
 
Future Studio Update (To Be Determined)
This is for both Transcendence and Renewal. At the beginning of April, we are scheduled to receive the following updates to implement on both Transcendence Sakray and Renewal Sakray:

• First / Second Class Skill Rebalance
• Ninja Skill Rebalance
• Bolt Skill Rebalance
• Advanced Old Glast Heim (Renewal Only)

Once these updates pass internal testing, we will then schedule them for updating to the live servers. 
Best guess is late April or early May, but the date is still to be determined.

Memorial dungeon thing sounds super vague, what exactly is that?

That is the next step in difficulty for the instance. There are two others afterwards that are different updates.
 
Memorial Dungeon System Renewal is:
1. After force disconnecting from the server during a Memorial Dungeon or any related incident, you may reenter the Memorial Dungeon in progress.

2. Memorial Dungeon is only created once all party members have connected.

3. Joining/leaving the created Memorial Dungeon party is prohibited.

4. Attempting to enter a Memorial Dungeon that does not exist and is currently being destroyed will disconnect the player. On re connection, player is transported to restart area.

what about dangerous dungeons? haven't heard anything about those since closed beta and the news then was that they were hopefully coming before the end of beta for testing.

also will we get a stat/skill reset when the skill balance hits?

I was really expecting the 185/65 updates to come, will they come later this year?

I really didnt like the news... Hope it last till there.


The sad thing is... Who joined RT for the changes and new stuff??? Cause it's going to be implemented on the renewal servers, Why the hell play on RT then? And was the RT just a way to REgather players all over again and close the server ALL OVER AGAIN? Just to take some more money from us old nostalgic players?? well it's sad but I kind of feel discouraged to play again... And I spent some WP already on this... :/ Sad
Again... Hope it still be a funny play to everyone <3

It's "Transcendence", not "TranCendence."

Alright definitely looking forward to the 3rd now.

Been wanting the Pet update for ages so will be able to finally use my pets without worrying about them running away if I go AFK a bit.

Since we're getting the inventory capacity display update does that mean we can get the item to increase the cap over 100 soon?    

Also pretty excited for more OGH content to try. Can't come soon enough!

the RT proposal is different from the live server, we will have fever fields, and some exclusive RT mechanics, it is better to rethink your discouragement and be excited and full of hope again because I am loving RT and my friends too

a few points based on things observed on cbt/rot


Vending system update:

Can you alter the tax on it? I feel like many ppl who were aware of the tax thought it was exclusive to the offline system, and not all vending wise. A lot of ppl are afraid that the 5% hitting chaos with it's high prices will just incentivize ppl to not sell things with vends anymore and rely on Chats to sell their stuff, to avoid loss, as well as prices that don't hit the cap being bumped up so people don't "lose" money. The trading experience will already take a severe hit with Ragial being gone, and we don't need it to become even more cancerous. Alter(1%)/remove the tax for Merchant/Super Novice vends.



Refinement UI update:

On iRO for as long as i play here and idk how far back this goes, when using HD ores/ Enriched+Enriched Hammer on gear that is +7, you can endlessly spam ores, even if your gear downgrades, so long you don't close the dialogue box and it will keep the protective properties. Using the new refinement UI on RT you are forced to select the Ores used after each attempt, wich essentially kills this, and makes so that you will have to spend a crap load more Safe to 7 on upgrading every piece of gear, making them much much more expensive.
Can you keep the old dialogue box for those ocasions?



Item based VIP.

To wich extent will it "VIP" our account? Full VIP like the one bought in the power up page? That being the case, i assume the website bought one will be phased out, but in doing that we also lose the VIP+KP deals wich were very popular and very much worth the money spent. What will happen to that?

Are you guys gonna re-adjust the monster levels in  abyss lake. Level 130 mobs vs a level 99 is pretty insane.

Bolt skill rebalance? What it that is that different from the 1st and 2nd class skill update? 

From what i see here is just a copy of Transcendance to Renewal. Can someone confirm this?

Then what is the point of playing Transcendance?

Renewal Sakray servers will be open during the weekend for testing?

Do we have to re-download the whole renewal client like the Transcendence?

The "big" update I was expecting was 3rd job skill balances... but oh well. I still don't see the point of bringing down Renewal (I guess other than the obvious making way for ROT), it was advertised as bracing for a big update. If this is it... then meh. :v
