Good Morning Ragnarok Online 11-20-2020

1. My weekly Schedule for the coming week.
 
Unfortunately we weren't able to pass testing this week so the patch was delayed rather than risk an extended maintenance, again. 

Last week's meeting got was rescheduled due to new local lockdown restrictions. The issues were sent by email and we will request feedback as well as a new meeting.
 

 
2. Important Information

• (Repeat) As you may have heard there has been a rise in RMT related unauthorized account access cases. This is what we know so far.
  • Affected accounts appear to be fairly random. Some accounts have not been touched in years. Due to this it is unlikely a game exploit as many affected users wouldn't have been in game.
  • They seem to be targeting items that can quickly be converted into zeny
  • The zeny is then sold on RMT websites.
• (Repeat) What you should do to be safe.
  • Change your passwords; Likely the emails/accounts/passwords being accessed were part of another data breach elsewhere on the internet. My own email address has apparently been involved in 21 different data breaches. I strongly suggest changing passwords now, just to be safe.
• (Repeat) What you should do if you get accessed.
  • Submit a ticket
  • The GMs should NOT need you to fax in an ID for unauthorized access cases. The only time that will be needed is if two different people are trying to claim the same account.
  • Restoration should only take a few days. Currently its taking longer than it should and I am working hard to try and get that fixed.
• (New) Players are reporting getting restores completed now. I would like this to go faster so I am pushing more on this subject.
• (Update 11-20-2020 5pm) If you get an account suspension message right please write in. We found the bad actors testing accounts and we are locking down every account that they tested. This is to prevent them from further taking items from players.

• Thanksgiving Event
• Black Friday Sales
• Daily Login Rewards
• Holiday EXP/Drops Event

• Thanksgiving Event

• Daily Login Rewards
• Holiday EXP/Drops Event
• ET will now allow for one reentry.

Please campitor, update the Daily Login Rewards for RO1 with better items, those +3 foods and scrolls are completely useless for a old server like Chaos.

pls camp fixed the temple of demon god instance,it was bugged like 7 month +.

Please campitor, update the Daily Login Rewards for RO1 with better items, those +3 foods and scrolls are completely useless for a old server like Chaos.

I thought they were just the crap they are now cause they geared them towards RT and never bothered to change them for chaos and instead just copy pasted them here.

It is goldsellers, I don't know which website or group of websites exactly but as far as we can tell it is tied to the RMT market.

 

Camptor when will the New FF arrive at RT?

Why not take the Hunt Board to the server?

Ninja class and MTK will arrive at the server?

What are the Plans for the future of the server as it is slowly dying?

We are meeting with the studio so see what they can support for 2021 and what we can do internally. There will be new content coming to RT.

Does this mean those people who got hacked were related to some sort of illegal Chinese gold sellers and RMT?

Not likely,

Most likely their information was breached elsewhere and usernames/passwords tried from that list.

What's wrong with that instance. I couln't see any bug on that instance.

@Campitor Could you ask to the GODS studio about the Hunter Shadow Shoes bug? This shadow are adding damage to Falcon Assault, and shouldn't add damage to this skill, only to Blitz Beat like another equipment with the same bonus

Sir, with all respect, how can you be sure those cards are not dropping, im not saying you are wrong, but to be sure you need to kill around 10k each monsters to states that in fact those cards aren't drooping. Peace
