While I understand humonculus changes may have been needed to prevent "legal botting" the humonculus as of right now is nearly impossible to level.  My character was level 86 pre transcendence before the change, with a level 76 humonculs.  Since then, I have transcended, gotten to level 89 as a biochemist, and my humonculus is still level 76.  Not a single level in what was hours worth of leveling for me.  The humonculus in all that time has only gained about half a level's worth of xp for itself.

There are a couple changes I recommend to make humonculus still able to be leveled for new players:

1: Base humonculus xp from monsters off of humonculus level, not player level.  High leveled characters are in a dillemma right now if their humonculus isn't close enough to their level.  In order for the humonculus to get xp, they have to fight monsters of their level to share with the humonculus.  However, the humonculus will die because they are such a low level compared to the player.  Bounty boards are really the only way for the homunculus to really get consistent xp, and even then the xp is so low that the homunculus will never catch up to the player in level.

2: Increase xp to at least 50% of monster xp.  If the humonculus gets the full kill, they can take all the xp.  This is similar to how it was before, and it allowed the humonculus to level at a rate similar to the player.

Transcending and leveling up a ton and still not leveling up the humonculus is ridiculous when previously at least a level could get gained for a few hours afk in the ant dungeon.  I don't want to encourage that lazy gameplay, but if that method is removed then there has to be buffs to how the humonculus levels when the player is active playing with it.  If anything active playing with the humoncolus a few years ago still leveled quicker than now, and that was considered slow.

I'd say Bounty boards for homunculus, only one mob, maybe 200 kills and cooldown.

Bounty boards definitely are the best way, but the humonculus still only gets 10% xp.  That is way too low, unless the devs are intentionally trying to make the humonculus always too weak to fight things the player's level.

I was thinking in BBs designed for homunculus only.

Lets say in Aldebaran a BB of killing 200 Dustiness for homunculus between lvl 60 and 70, the homunculus need to be out for every kill so it can get added to the count and once you claim the reward with the homunculus summoned of course, all the exp goes to the homunculus and none to the alchemist, and the BB with a cooldown of 3 hours or so.

I like that idea as well actually.  Then you could decide at any given time whether you want to focus on leveling yourself of the homunculus, which is a pretty interesting choice.  Just have to make sure then that none of the levels get neglected, or else the homunculus would stagnate levels-wise again.

If so, I wonder how it was changed in the first place.  I would imagine that it literally is a number in a formula.
