While I understand humonculus changes may have been needed to prevent "legal botting" the humonculus as of right now is nearly impossible to level. My character was level 86 pre transcendence before the change, with a level 76 humonculs. Since then, I have transcended, gotten to level 89 as a biochemist, and my humonculus is still level 76. Not a single level in what was hours worth of leveling for me. The humonculus in all that time has only gained about half a level's worth of xp for itself.
There are a couple changes I recommend to make humonculus still able to be leveled for new players:
1: Base humonculus xp from monsters off of humonculus level, not player level. High leveled characters are in a dillemma right now if their humonculus isn't close enough to their level. In order for the humonculus to get xp, they have to fight monsters of their level to share with the humonculus. However, the humonculus will die because they are such a low level compared to the player. Bounty boards are really the only way for the homunculus to really get consistent xp, and even then the xp is so low that the homunculus will never catch up to the player in level.
2: Increase xp to at least 50% of monster xp. If the humonculus gets the full kill, they can take all the xp. This is similar to how it was before, and it allowed the humonculus to level at a rate similar to the player.
Transcending and leveling up a ton and still not leveling up the humonculus is ridiculous when previously at least a level could get gained for a few hours afk in the ant dungeon. I don't want to encourage that lazy gameplay, but if that method is removed then there has to be buffs to how the humonculus levels when the player is active playing with it. If anything active playing with the humoncolus a few years ago still leveled quicker than now, and that was considered slow.
