1. Nerfed gear feedback:
a. I think it's fair to scale the refinement requirements up like what has been done with recent jRO items, since my understanding is that max upgrade level in jRO is +10. But I don't know how hard it is to upgrade to different tiers in jRO. Maybe staff could create and publish a table showing the odds comparisons, and use this as a standard for future conversions?
b. Some of the nerfs don't make sense. Guardian Soul original effect enables Heaven's Drive lvl 3, nerfed version enables lvl 1. Why was this original effect considered too strong? It seems like a pointless nerf.
Cylinder Boots +12 effect seems like an afterthought added just to entice players to buy cash shop ores. You could have avoided this appearance if you released it with no +12 effect at all, or by halving original effects of +9 and +12 instead.
2. Item selection feedback:
a. Player request thread (this one: https://forums.warpp...-shop-requests/) doesn't seem like an effective way to bring in items the majority of players actually want. I do see the three new gears mentioned in that thread, but many players seem to just throw huge lists in there with every new thing iRO doesn't have.
Instead of using this thread, I suggest you engage players with polls about items you are considering. If you did this regularly (weekly?), with 3 or 4 potential items, it would also keep players excited about possible upcoming new items during the wait times between releases. I think ideally you would NOT want to make the poll results public, so that players could not determine with certainty what would be in the new box.
Just a forum post would be an improvement, but ideally you would make players aware of these polls in-game as well. You could put a link on the patcher to the current poll, and possibly use in-game announcements as well (maybe take the place of the tired message about new items being available in the cash shop that ALWAYS runs regardless of whether there are new items in the cash shop?).
b. Some players seem not to mind the inclusion of "junk" items from older boxes in this latest release. But you could just as easily have added desirable items from those boxes instead. The current implementation is an example of a lootbox within a lootbox, just like the shadow cubes (which some players have also expressed disappointment with).
3. Kachua implementation feedback:
Many players have expressed disinterest in the crates the Kachua Keys are attached to and asked for other options. Staff has made no changes to this implementation through all four Kachua releases despite the numerous requests. Players have provided plenty of examples of items that would be more desirable for them, such as Ore boxes (which seems only fair since the new gears are being modified to require higher upgrade levels for maximum benefit), or items that have become scarce on the server due to ratio balances being altered in Kachua compared to older boxes (Blacksmith Blessing).
Staff performance feedback:
WarpPortal Community Management staff has a history of ignoring, forgetting, and just failing to comprehend community feedback. If you are going to create a feedback thread like this one, you need to actually engage with the community and use the feedback provided to implement positive change and make your players want to continue to communicate with you.
