Unable to play the game on a MacOS (virtual Windows) anymore

I recently started playing this game and since I own a Macbook, my only option to play the game has been through a virtual Windows 10 installation (legal copy that I paid for) running on Parallels. I was able to play the game without hiccups for a couple months until today when I patched the game, after a break of a few weeks, and the game immediately kicked me out with a prompt that Virtual machines can not be used.

Why? Is this now suddenly a security risk? I am not trying to cheat the system, I simply want to play the game on my legally owned copy of Windows. Am I expected to buy a Windows computer now? Or is there any other way to play the game on a Mac? Please guide me!

apparently you can only play RO in pc literally because of easy anti cheat program...

Okay..but any idea why I was able to play without a hiccup for 2 months and then now all of a sudden it is an issue? Is no one on the server playing with a Mac using a virtual Windows installation or something like Wine to emulate Windows? Is there a way to raise a support ticket for this?
