Cart Cannon in depth testing result

Dear @campitor so far we already did some testing of what happened with CC damage, this is what we found so far


"-Cylinder boots has a hidden +2 str bonus not mentioned in the description, which isn't in the original item either.    +2 STR given from firelock card

This seems to be the case with every piece of equipment in the game that boosts CC damage%, wearing it by itself doesn't do anything. Wearing 2 or more pieces will add some CC damage %, that is less than the sum of both items, but more than a single one of them(or the middle point value between the two)

what is this mess

the result probably will be "after thoroughly investigation, there is no problem  "

@camp please put this as priority to fix. unlike FAS ranger, they have other method to properly play the game / class such as AS build, Crit build, even aimed bolt or trapper. but Geneticts only have cart tornado (which is quite bad even how much u try to boost it) or acid bomb, this will heavily impaired the class.

Thank you for posting this! It has been so frustrating to use my Gen for the past few weeks. Hope something gets done. 

seems to me the cart cannon bonus are being applied only to the +something part of the atk?

naked = strAtk + 0

EDIT: if that's the case, an over upgraded crimson mace should lead to more damage than sapphire. i don't have the means to try that...

now days, being player are very difficult, have to test those bugs for the team..

some further testing, a +14 midas was working correctly with a lvl 175 genetic. The issue might be related to the new level cap. If people can check the CC gears with lower than 175 characters to provide data it'd help

tested on lvl 130 Gene, only wearing +9 cylinder hairband and nothing else.

Nah, you had Cart Boost active on pic 1, and it fell off on pic 2 with the shoes on. The boots are doing 0 for you, positive or negative,


125+125+250+50 = 550 atk * 10.87(1087% cc dmg formula with your int) = 5978 - 5 soft def= 5973


Without cart boost: 125+125+250 = 500 atk *10.87 = 5435 - 5 soft def = 5430


*You activated cart boost again*


130+130+250+50= 560 * 11.18 = 6260 - 5 = 6255

*Cart Boost fell off*

125+125+250+95 = 592 *10.87 = 6467 - 5 = 6462

I'll take a wild guess and say:

RonSilver's Genetic is wearing Cylinder Boots without a card in them.

Boots that are giving "hidden" +2 STR may be carded with Firelock Soldier, also known as Superior Cylinder Boots?

Class: Card
Compounds On: Shoes
Weight: 1
Str + 2
If upgrade level is +9 or higher,
Max HP + 10%
Max SP + 10%

Again, just a guess as I haven't logged on my Geneticist in years nor do I own majority of the new Cart Cannon gears since Geneticist has fallen off significantly compared to other classes. It's unlikely that it's a hidden effect of the shoes themselves if he's literally gearless while wearing uncarded shoes and is not benefiting from the alleged +2 STR.

If Superior Cylinder Boots are giving +4 STR, then I don't know. That would be hidden parameters that need further testing.

O YES LMAO WE FORGOT ABOUT THAT, yes its confirmed coming from the firelock soldier card.
that clears up some stuff at least.

unlike ranger who have multiple build other than FAS, gene pretty much only have cart cannon. cart tornado is very2 weak borderline garbage. i hope @campitor can sense the urgency and fix this soon

In this pic the 20% is working on the Seraph 250 atk.

which makes it extra weird since i verified the 20% not working yesterday but using a skin of ladon[wawak] instead. It didn't even change autoattack damage

I mean cart tornado isn't nearly as spammable or accessible but i believe you can get something like 500%+ skill dmg from gears and 1sec cooldown on it so it wouldnt be that bad, but you literally would have to swap all your gear cause skill won't benefit from ranged modifiers, surely you can get like 500k 1sec cd cart tornado right? Or the scaling is just too bad for it? But i would prefer it being an option rather than the only choice you can make :/

Cart Tornado with every possible boost is still weaker than a messed up Cart Cannon, and clunkier to use.
