Gaster Card & Alice card

Are these the default cards for pvm now? 

Today, I've come across a gaster card it was in a +12 Liam shield and was wondering what's the point of having multiply shields race & size or a hormildilan cards when you can just have 1 gaster & 1 alice?

or you can use Khalitzburg Knight card and not bother with 2 shield
