free 2 play?

on the news for ragnarok it says it will be going "free 2 play" in march. are they talking about renewal as well? if so, should i wait and create a character when renewal is free or just play valkyrie?

All servers will be free to play.

ALL servers will be free-to-play, HOWEVER, in order to _create_ a character on the 'premium' servers, Ymir and Ygg, you will need a paid account (so like, you can pay for 1 month, make your chars, and never pay again, as long as you don't need to remake any chars)

Right now, if you pay an account for premium servers, you get full subscription benefits until the server goes F2P (so you get to enjoy the benefits of higher exp/drops for 2 months or so, more if there are more delays). So, if you want to play on the less-bot-filled premium servers, now is the time to start!

Worth noting that in the future, you will be able to get subscription benefits (higher rates/etc) on either valk or premium servers, if your account is paid.
