Actually, if you're interested, I could sell you one of the new Bone staffs for cheap, maybe like 250-300 gold. It's advanced w/ a lame stat, but w/ randomizers likely returning tomorrow you can fix that pretty easily.

Ima get a LB just cause it looks awesomeNah, just wait until 60 and get the new Bone weapon. In the case of Invokers, the base attack is almost identical to the Heirloom Bone staff (I think there was only like a 20-point difference between the new one and my old one). Ideally, you could wait until 65 and get an Heirloom LOak staff, but w/ the Drakos weapon on the way it would probably be better to go w/ Bone until 70 then just upgrade to the Zauharant. Unless, of course, you want to resell your weapon eventually, in which case the Heirloom LOak would probably be the better choice (assuming they don't add an item to allow you to remove the "soulbound" property on items).

Then from there go straight to a Drakos because Bone is gey

For the price of a heirloom lightning oak (around 200-500g advanced), I wouldn't skip that lol (60-70 is a big gap).
If you're talking about oaks, they're level 65.

Yes I know that, I meant to upgrade your weapon once you hit 65 by getting a oak instead of using a bone or magichenge from 60-70.If you're talking about oaks, they're level 65.

Also its almost the end of January, and Hastur did say the dev schedule had the implementation of drakos tower in the 1st quater of 2011.
Unless they actually stick to that time-line (which has almost never happened, ever), you wont be seeing drakos weapons any time soon.
Lightning oak is the way to go from 65 onwards, probably for all classes except warriors. Plus its tradeable, so you can still sell it for
something once your finished with it.

IMO, if you're taking the time to enchant/soulcraft a Bone staff to reasonable levels, it's not really worth it to bother w/ the HLOak at this point. So I'd suggest picking one or the other.
Also, the Bone weapon doesn't cost nearly as much to repair IIRC, so there's another big + for invokers, since the wear and tear on our weapons is pretty dramatic compared to other classes.

If it takes you a year to get from 60-70 (like me) its still worthwhile =] And aren't new weapons more expensive to repair compared to heirlooms?
Plus spending alot of gold on enchanting/soulcrafting a soulbound bone weap, when the Loak is only 5 lvls higher and tradeable does make the Loak
the better solution IMO. I like getting something back from my enchanting/soulcrafting efforts, even if it was significantly less than the cost
put into it.

I'll think about the Bone. Not entirely sure because I have to save lots of gold and already have a Arka Staff that I had before.
And I think IMO either staff is fine. HLO Staff and Bone have great damage and probably just as good durablility. =/ I think it would really depend on how fast you go through lvs, hence how fast you go through your weapons.
Anyway, I should just use a normal weapon till lv 60 then?

Uhhh. And to Rim and other Invokers, what's your option between Arka Staff and Bone? This is my last question so I know for sure what to do around lv 60. ^.^

Yes we have, yes we have.

I'd say go Bone simply b/c the durability is almost double that of the Arka Staff.

That time-line was a developer's timeline. Hastur did say it was subject to change.
And Magichenge/Lorebound being a level 55 weapon doesn't make it worth it. Bone surpasses it for being 5 levels higher and heirloom oaks are a good choice for non-warrior classes.

He also said that they'd be getting testing info possibly within the next two weeks about a week ago. So, if that points to anything positive, possibly getting it soon. That time-line was a developer's timeline. Hastur did say it was subject to change.

Okay, thanks for the advice. Maybe I will buy that Bone staff if you're still willing to. (Will message you ingame. ^^)
Anyway, Request for Thread Closure.

EDIT: Ahem, knew I should have been more discreet. Message me in-game when you get a chance.
