Let's get on with the merger/wipe/whatever you GMs have planned for YGG. The fragile community that once existed has basically collapsed. Personally I blame it on the community itself. I mean seriously, there were two woe guilds on the server, and due to some of the lamest guild drama I have ever bore witness to, much of the weaker guild has now joined the stronger guild.

What kind of flipperbaby-_- do you have to be to join an already strong guild? Well I for one do not intend to woe until either a) GMs figure out a way to get people to join YGG server (btw, the answer is not more kafra events, it's advertising), or  the server is merged.

If you are a GM reading this, you may be thinking to yourself "That's nice Dr. Tame, I don't give a flying fart." Well I'd just like to point out to you, the only reason I ever buy kafra points (about $100 bucks worth a month, maybe more during events) is for the sake of WoE. I will not be spending any more points of the kafra shop until I am able to woe again. And I have no intention of woeing with the three or four people left in my guild vs the rest of the pitifully underpopulated server.

Maybe it's time to allow transfers. I dunno.

I think there's a general lack of incentive to WoE right now.

If you don't get a castle, you pay lots of zeny in supply costs.

If you get a castle, the majority of the castle treasure is undesriably obsolete, with a small chance to obtain god item pieces that will probably rot in storage (abandonment of WPS system, no ordinary system to prevent ninja seal rolls). In the case of ygg, god item pieces aren't a factor. Castle treasure probably won't sustain supply costs.

If you play just for fun/fights, reduction game mechanics are generally broken right now, pots don't heal much, healing from skills is even worse, and HD ores created a large entry-point disparity in character strength. Supply costs are still significant and someone, somewhere will be forced to do things they don't enjoy to pay for it (e.g. countless hours farming uninteresting, drop-penalty enabled mobs in PvM for zeny or crafting reagents).

If only WoE could have additional incentive or decreased time/zeny/$$ cost, I'd guess more people would participate.

Sadly this is the general rule on iRO, that's why you have super strong and super weak guilds and no exciting fights or power balance u,u

Sounds like the way the similarly small-population server went I think? ( Iris )
Never played Iris but towards the end of its lifetime that seemed to be the gist of peoples complaints regarding it. Then that 1 alliance/guild started farming God items without competition for a long time.
Anyway I don't WoE but do remember the flood of "Merge Iris" threads, even (or maybe mainly) by members of that reigning alliance, though I don't remember the exact reasons (just bored?).

When is WoE on Ygg, anyways? I've only recently returned after taking a forced break at the end of November. Is it both days or just one?

Yeah but Ygg is worse than what Iris was... you can't have a decent woe scene with only 2 guilds fighting and one of them being considerably weaker. Heck with 100 people woeing you shouldn't even have normal guild caps, one or two castles and 16 people per guild would be enough for that scale of battles.

i have personally had a ton of ideas on how to get more people to join ygg, as a server its much better for new players or players who are sick of everyone being so overpowered but the gm team has made it a afterthought on every event they do, look at the raffle, they never scaled it for our small community so noone on ygg even did it, when we had the OCA issue we got rolled back, while ymir had a mvp spawn event and didnt get rolled back, so personally i blame the gm's for the most part, they put in WoE to late, they ignored us, and they keep our moral down by saying we're going to get wiped and everything else, but another big issue is the community, every ygg post on here had 3-4 ymir friends saying its worthless and noone cares about it and being dicks in general, how is this supposto look to new players coming? they may want to join ygg but all the bad press we constantly get and the gm's ignoring us and not giving a  is keeping us at such a small population. i sent a ticket in a couple weeks ago complaining and i got a "thats great we'll send it up to management" and then they never got back to me, so i have said it many times before and i'll say it again, give us a god damn GM we can talk to, there's 100~ of us, give us someone who will represent us and tell us wtf is going on and someone we can give ideas to on how to make the server have a bigger population
