I suggest on range extension skills a mixture of
  • -Accuracy
  • -Crit Chance
  • -Physical Damage

It all makes great sense. As you move farther away it becomes harder to hit the target, harder to hit critical points, and the bullet velocity decreases.
These should vary for shadow runner and ranger.

Good idea, I personally would be fine with giving up some %'s for the sake of realism. Maybe apply it to xbows as well?

Yes to crossbows aswell. Im not sure if it should be to a greater or lesser extent since shadow runners hit slower. However they have two skills to add damage. Not to mention stealth to allow them easily to sneak into 30m range if they'd like.

u have speed movement reduction already, snipers arent inacurate cos they are far away they just cant run about quickly and jump like idiots (casters0 and shoot

what about making casters actually miss sometimes, they have awfully good accuracy for 30m and ss melee miss -_-load from 4m -.-

i know that rangers are super op but this is not the way i dont think

Well i think like all things it should take testing before implememtation. but i think its good because with the way rangers hit they can still get their kills even from that safe distance. However if they want to be 100% or closer to it they'll have to kick a few buffs when needed.

Also you are right about caster vs melee but I am just touching on range ext skills. I've no ideas on casters yet.

well this would need to apply to casters too, just tell me why a mele that is hitting you 4m- of you fail ALOT more than a caster hitting you 30m away? is like meele are stupid or retarded and casters have more intellect and this is why they are more focus?

One of the range skills for rangers have a penalty, but the other doesnt. I find funny that warriors get so many penalties for their buffs but ranged classes get almost none.

Shoot from a distance require more time to target and calculations, if you shoot at that speed, it would be less accurate without doubt. In most games the slow speed weapons hit higher and the higher speed ones deal less dmg, and the same happen in Requiem, but it dont take in account the speed buffs and range buffs.

I think that they should lose acc in one of their range buffs, not because is more realistic, but because is the reasonable penalty. A speed or dmg reduction would be bad for the class: lets not forget that they still must grind, quest, raid, etc.

I find funny how the ranged classes put melees in the middle of the fight. Melee classes are a different story, and something that gravity done wrong in the past is to balance melee/ranged vs mage, instead melee vs ranged vs mages.

But lets not forget the other side of the story: rangers dont have a good pb for them, and they dont get range extention for their weapon attack skills, and also dont have foc sets for them.
