Renewal-Sage-Bolter Levelling Guide.

Take note that it will basically be the easiest way to level your bolter if you have 2 Siroma Carded Accessories.

If you have the money for it BUY IT. It will make grinding SO much easier. As each card makes your Cold bolt stronger by 25% and your casting time faster by 25% making it a total of 50% if you have two.

This guide will choose mobs that you will generally 1 shot, as 2 shots is usually annoying.

Also, you WILL want to do the Eden Item Quests. As the Eden Staff is quite good and outmatches the other NPC staffs by a lot.

Level 1-10.
This will be spent in the training grounds. Grab the quests from the job NPCs. It's advisable that you grab the Thief skill from the Thief NPC for the Double Attack.

Level 10-23/25.
Peco-Peco's and Mukas.

You should usually finish your Peco-peco quest first, so if you only need Mukas left head to this map:

It's the south west of the Peco map.

DON'T FORGET! Save near the Eden Quest NPC in Prontera. And grab the Peco-peco and Muka quests. Each time you submit those two should merit you a level.



Level 23-40

You will generally one shot these. The reason why I want you to do this till 40 is because of the next monster you'll want to go and kill.

Bring fly wings to avoid the Choco.

The Horns can sense casting, so it's up to you.

Note: I had 2 Siroma clips so I can generally cast fast enough to kill them before they got to me.

Level 40-60.

I know the mobs are level 55, but if you know of another place as easy as this be my guest. But the next leveling spot is boon to all Sages. Especially bolters.

You can 1 shot the Beetle Kings here too.

Don't bother with the Savages, they have cast sensing and are not worth the exp.

Again if you have 2 Siroma clips. You'll be job 50 in a couple of hours.

Level 60-88.

You can kill the Geographers too, but your priority are the Grand Pecos.


Don't bother with the Goats yet until you reach level 70. As they're 85 and won't give you much Exp.

You'll love this map. And you'll find yourself bolting like it's the end of the world. Basically 1 shotting everything.


That's it for now, I'm writing this based off of how and where I leveled. So I can guarantee you it will be a breeze.
So far my Sage is only level 88 and I'm trying to find another leveling spot that's Bolter-friendly.

You can ride the airship in Izlude to Rachel then head North about 4 times from the map you spawn in.

Avoid the Droseras at early as they're level 101. Also, you'll have to walk from Rachel unless someone can warp you to the Magmaring map, which would be a closer walk.

Some faster places are:

Early levels: boas, mandragoras, spores

At level 24 you can use the npc sold int surv rod - can upgrade it for more matk too.

ant eggs are level 28 - fireball as soon as it is practical and there are no other people around and the exp will fly

36 - Orc Dungeon lvl 1 - mob and vertical firewall. even with 1 dex you can do it and not have to worry about cast time. bring some fly wings and healing items like fresh fish and go to town. don't worry about dying as a few monsters will get you it all back and more. I stay here till level 65 - even with lessened exp you kill them en-masse so rapidly that it is hard for other spots to be better exp.

A phen helps but is not necessary. With no phen a peco peco head band or afro does wonders.

I tried greatest generals and that map really could not match OD. The only other thing which was semi good was the flora map with the argiopes as there are so many of the bugs you can mob them with firewall too. Didn't really find a map dense enough to justify killing just floras, plus bolts have cast time.

65 - Goats - you can move onto the grand pecos earlier if you tire of OD. If you can't kill goats easy then geos i guess. And i hear there is an eden exp turn in for the flowers that geos drop.

Lv56~70 Eden Quest:
-Turn in 40 Maneater Blossom from Flora. (17000 base exp 7000 job exp)(Repeatable)

I level from 56~70 by doing this quest. Estimated amount is 3k+ Maneater Blossom.

I found this rather excellent to level with but after hitting 88 i'm at a loss where to go. Any ideas?

Stapos (firebolt)
Siromas (lightning bolt)

Injustice, Zombie Prisoner, Rybio (vert firewall mobbing and firebolting)

Magma 1 (soloable if you have frost driver 10 or a kaahi slave)

my cast is not that fast so when i cold bolt the grand pecos they dont die in one hit and there aggresive i cant kill them so i need another place to level im also level 79 sage
