Would it be in any way possible to make it so a person (or a client) can only click and comfirm the leave button 2 or 3 times during one Theme Battle session / time?

Sure, everyone has DC's but it gets old going into strongest and the team that wins in usually is never the team where someone leaves first. It must be rule of thumb that if one person leaves, that must mean hope is lost and others need to leave. Theme Battle is supposed to be team oriented no? So why give people to option to leave as many times as they want. Because of this it seems like it's actually encouraged for people to leave losing games as they have a chance to get on a winning team and take the spot of someone that may have DCed or had any event outside of Requiem that causes them to leave.

Don't get me wrong this has nothing to do with bracketing the Theme Battles. Honestly I think this would make more TB's inactive, especially the late night ones.

I just find that people leaving Theme Battle defeat the purpose of making a battleground team-oriented. When that aspect is gone it's not longer fun to lose the game. I don't mind losing a fair fight, but when the same people join and leave a game, it just doesn't seem very fair anymore.

This post has been mentioned before on the old forums and probably has been here but, thoughts and suggestions?

I agree that increase the points for the loser team would be a good start.

From the old forum: Stupidity
"1st of all, they should make the teams more balanced:

People sign, then the system take all the people needed to start the battlefield, then it distribute in 2 teams: for a start, both should have the same average lvl, but also could be good if distribute by class too (at least with the categories, ranged, melee, single target mage, aoe mage). Then both teams are placed in the field: the gates never open before the teams are complete, and players cant leave the bg until the gates open.

2nd, brakets: the brakets only would reduce the problem of rejoiners but isnt the solution.

3rd: even with balanced teams and brakets, the rejoiners still will be there, and with them the unbalance. Balance at the start isnt enough when the rejoiners unbalance it: how this happen? simple, someone enter and see a few low lvls, and dont even bother in see the other team, they asume that the other team is better and leave, and this keep happening, then, one team stack all the low lvls and the other dont.

This only can be solved with penalties ( Battleground Rejoiners Penalty ) for leave: enough to make players give it a try. Some times is so sad, see high lvls players leave before they see the other team, and when you fight that team, it is worst.

The penlaties should include: the player that leaving the battlefield using the button, gets a penalty and a bound to that specific room (cant enter to any of both sides): that way both win, the team wont have the rejoiner entering and going out again and again, and the player can enter to another room. The ones that leave the battlefield by exiting the game, get the penalty but not the bound. And the players that go out because they crash, dont get any penalty.

After x amount of time, the players can leave the room without penalty. Players that enter when x time of the battle has past, dont get penalty for leave. Players that enter and the team is losing for x amount of points, dont get penalty for leave.

Players that dont move for x amount of time (aka, go afk) are automatically expelled from the room and get the penalty but not bound: the battles dont last that long, when one enter, it must enter to fight not to drink a coffee or something.

Another thing, the Ultimate Gear should be balanced: Ultimate Gear It cant be that a mage end with the same hp than a melee and over that it have the adventage of be able to move and shoot at distance at the same time. This happen because all the gear (cloth, leather, chain and plate) give the same hp. Pluss, classes without heals have a big disadventage there, since the player must recover a great wall of life, and sitting or drink hp pots dont help much."

Also, make the bg reward points shared for all the characters in the same account: that way people dont need to go with their low lvl alts to get the items.

Also, if the penlaty was only 50 points, it wouldnt hourt so much, but could prevent leavers.

I think that the rage in TB isnt that great idea, and could ruin the pvp idea of that bg. They should find other ways.

Still, tbh, when i get in a bad team and the other is camping, i wish i had that rage to balance to break the camp.

The thing is that the matches arnt balanced at the start: i remember the other day, the gate open and we were only 3 in our side, or other times in wich the other side have 3-4 capped players and your side dont have anything.

players should be "locked" to a side when they first join.

If they DC/force leave whatever when they rejoin they are added to THAT team again or go into a queue to rejoin that team. When they do rejoin they pick up where they left off pointwise to DC'd people arent disadvantaged that much.

That means there would be no point in leaving because you'd end up on the same side again.
