Seriously is this happening to only me? I heard some other people are getting lag during map changes, but for me it disconnects instantly. After almost every single map change.

Tracert is normal, ping is normal. Game is not laggy at all until a disconnection at map change.

Any possibility it could be missing sprite data? Maybe not a full reinstall, but delete the patchclient folder to force a re-update.

Nope its a proper disconnect. I get "Disconnected from Server" error, no sprite file errors.
Lately, it has been sometimes not disconnecting, just gets really laggy then loads. Also It seems that it only happens when changing zone servers. If I change maps that are on the same server, then it doesn't disconnect.

I tried a force re-patch, tried a fresh installed client, tried using different proxy servers, tried using no proxy server but it still happens.
Can't test much at the moment since I'm at work, but if anyone has suggestions then throw them my way.

OP's problem is not normal. Are you lagging badly?

It sounds like it's choking while trying to establish the connection to the new zone server - Does it happen when changing between maps on the same zone server? (ex: two maps that are part of the same dungeon)

Is your computer slow in general?

Put the homun into standby first, so it's not trying to do anything. The homun/teleport disconnect bug happens when the server receives packets sent by the AI trying to command it, once you've already teleported and landed, so your homun now has a different ID, and it looks to the server like you are trying to control something other than your homun. I think the intent was to punish people for trying to perform some exploit, but it screws over legit players who are lagging sufficiently badly.
