Hey everyone,

I'm an old RO player, but completely new to the whole renewal system... I was wondering if the Ymir server (after the release of F2P) still requires a one time payment to play on it?

As well, if I do need to pay one time to get onto Ymir, how much is it and where do I go to pay for it?

Finally, if the cost is there, do we get any special bonuses or anything like that (not that it really matters, just curious) such as VIP bonuses or anything?

Thanks in advance!

All VIP bonuses are the same. Ymir only needs a one time payment if you are making a new account, I believe. You can pay when you go to "power up" you need a warpportal account.

Edit: If you had an old account and you don't remember the info just make a warpportal account and send in a support ticket with username / email and ask them to attach it to your warpportal account.

How do I make this one time purchase?

I went to "Power Up" and all that I got was a list of how much I can get... I've been browsing around the WarpPortal payment stuff, but don't see anything like "Unlock Ymir" or "Open Ymir" or anything like that :<

You need to connect an account to your warpportal account or make one. After that click it on the left (in power up) and pay for VIP services or something.

Edit: Oh wait, I think I get your problem. You have to buy warpportal points and then use it to buy a VIP package.

Lol, that makes sense to me!

What's this 30, 90, 180 day plan though?

I'm guessing that I spend 700 points to get the 30 day plan, Ymir opens up (and stay open forever now) and I get 30 days of VIP service right?

For Ymir, the only required payment is if you want to make a new chara. You can play any chara that already exists for free or vip.

Paying is kind of odd. You first have to buy WP points, then you transfer it to individual game accounts for vip time or kafra shop points.

On ruRO, you can create a chara, but you couldn't leave the training grounds unless you were in paid mode. But, if I understand correctly, they have a 1 day subscription option for people that just want to create a chara.
