i've seen many topics saying marksman suck in pvp and are fine in pve
is it that horrible? should i neglect it and use it as alt char?
are marksman that bad?

People who say they suck in pvp are just bad at pvp (jk), but personally I think they're awesome in pvp!

more over i just got the 1st rank of H.E granade - it sucks painfuly... will it get any better?

If you're worried about sucking then you should play Dragoon.

I agree with Thuy, I think they're pretty good in PvP if they're being handled by the right players.

Level 1 and 5 H.E. grenades does change quite a lot in terms of strength.by any better, i havent meant to the playstyle

Aside from that, no, increasing your level won't make you significantly stronger.
The new skills you get will be increasingly harder to use to catch with, compared to the skills you already have.
Sure, it has potential in PvP, like every other class.
The question is whether you're able to make use of that potential or not.
If you get to level 5 H.E. grenades and still believe the class to be bad, then there's a high chance it won't get any better for you.

Marksman are very hard to pvp in, and i gave up and played a rogue. I found out that they were also horrible pvpers, but it all depends on how skilled you are. No class "sucks" in pvp. They only suck if the player does. So if you think its hard, then go play a instant-win dragoon. And the skills dont change much except that lv3+ rpg7 launches
