Why are the players so rude?

The thing is that people who are fresh to the game that I've talked to in-game often don't know about the fansite's very good coverage of in-game quests, maps and monsters. The game has come a long way in making it clearer where players should go, but there are still a lot of things we can do to not frighten off new players who aren't used to the game's peculiarities. Issues of politeness do matter in a game where social interaction is a large part of the experience that used to ease people into the game and make friends. RO and many other MMOs work well enough as a solo experience, but you do lose quite a bit if you spend days without talking to random strangers.

i agree with that , social interaction is a large part to make friend. and making friends needs politeness.
personally , that why i played online games to have social/friends in the game.

but if you will just troll the newbie who is asking for a little help which will cost you 1250 zeny and some sp. .
you are just making your self a jerk. its better for you to play offline game rather , trolling the community.

Also, that type of rudeness stems from you being logged on w/o afk chat and your namesake. It's EASILY preventable by as many said AFK chat or just logging off (who wants more lag hmm?). There are far worse things that happen on this server elsewhere so look on the bright side neh?

You do come across kinda like a jackass, not because you would have done something wrong, but for how you handled the situation. Of course you don't Have to warp anyone, but you don't Have to be a jerk about it either. Which I would not usually think twice, but in this case you're being a jerk And talking about unpolite people.

I think "Porfavor" means "please" and "presiosa" means "beatiful" in spanish? So to me it looks like you just stood there being pretentious bastard not caring to even warp a noobie (who cannot write in english) to Prontera.

If, through my inaction, makes me a pretentious bastard/jackass from my reluctance, then by god, I might as well do a damn good job of being a jerk then (what's the worst from this point, more apparent immorality?)

What I choose to do with my time or character is my business, who said anyone has to put up a chat just to tell strangers you're afk, otherwise "your troling!1" ?? Tell me, why?

You can respond to rudeness with grace instead of objectifying those who are rude. A little humility goes a far way, and you still manage to be polite without giving in to their rudeness or indulging them.
