I still don't understand how mobbing is against the rules x: I always thought mobbing and pulling was one of the big attractions of RO? Renewal itself is completely built around the concept of mobbing.
No it is not it just some thing they to lazy to enforce.
Gathering Mobs for the purpose of dragging them to your party, Is consider ilegal and always has been, but be cause Everyone and there mother in IRO abuses just about everything and anything, them enforcing this rule would just serve to make poeple mad and quit and they would lose more people, cause they would have to ban the whole server Which would hurt gravity more then to make some people happy, which why they dont even bother.
Mobbing for the purpose of draggin mobs to your party has and always been illegal, and has always been ignored for above reason. Dont mob what you cant control or kill or for that mater walk the map with the mobs, as people will kill that mobs for following reason
1.hold up spawn.
2 huge mob on something that cant control it let alone kill it.
3.for being a-_- about mobbing especially in medusa seeing it nothing but narrow corridors, MEDUSA MAP IS NOT DRAGON MAP(that map is wide open areas)

At any rate, kRO initially tried to drive home that mobbing was bad (note: like 3 of the jobchange tests have a quiz with a question about whether you will gather monsters for your friends and the correct answer is 'no'). IRO made the practice against the rules. Because it hinders spawn rate generally, ahs the potential to overrun players, and leads to kill-stealing (also against the rules).
Players really love to be self-righteous and decid that it's not against the rules because 'everyone else is doing it'.

I'll bring to you attention good ol' Captain Jack Sparrow, in the first Pirates of the Carribean:I mean its one thing when a Warlock 10 squares away steals mobs from your group. But for a Genetic to cart cannon monsters directly next to a camping party in succession, several times throughout the hour...
When asked, the response was that in order to get a good kill count, they had to ks.
Really? Really???
I don't think a turn in event gives anyone the right to be a douche >_> Nor does trying to squeeze in X amount of turn ins in a battle manual...
Here it's essentially the same thing: then can KS you and benefit largely from it, and stand little to no risk of getting suspended for it. High reward, low risk, why NOT do it ?The only rules that really matter are these: what a man can do and what a man can't do. For instance, you can accept that your father was a pirate and a good man or you can't. But pirate is in your blood, boy, so you'll have to square with that some day. And me, for example, I can let you drown, but I can't bring this ship into Tortuga all by me onesies, savvy? So, can you sail under the command of a pirate, or can you not?
The fact that it is rude and/or against the game "rules" is totally irrelevant, if the "rule" is not enforced, which it isn't.

My apologies, I was unaware of the fact that being a decent person was irrelevant in an mmorpg.

not in iRO, most poeple abuse the hell out anything and everything they can in this game cause they know GRAVITY WILL NEVER DO ANYTHING ABOUT ,CAUSE THEY DONT WANT TO LOSE MORE PEOPLE FOR ENFORCING RULES.
And yes I calling GRAVITY OUT, I want them to actual ENFORCE THERE OWN GOD DAMN RULES. Cause frankly it is disgraceful what Gravity let iRO turn in to Maybe then people will stop abusing the hell out of everything and anything they can.

It's not like I get KS'd once per turn in... it's over and over again. Every time I see someone else on the map, I assume they are going to KS me because that what it feels like. I guess the people KSing me have more dex because they can run over and kill before I finish casting, then fly away. Hard to get screenshots with their name because they move so quickly.
Would be nice if a GM hung around each event map to keep up with whats going on. The KSing is really really bad a mesuda. Especially in parties that have a genetic for killer (like.. I dunno.. M A K E).
I at least try my best not to KS anyone, but some people don't even try, they just run over and ks.
When there are multiple KS parties about I can lose maybe 60+ mobs per turn in. Really slows down my turn ins, solo and in parties.
I'm curious, because they don't give exp, does kill count go to whoever got the last hit? That is what I am thinking because there has been times I've cast on a mob, hit them, but someone quickly cart cannons and I miss the kills.

If Heim is half as serious about bringing back the old feeling of iRO to the new age of iRO as he seemed in his future updates thread, he should definitely look into this problem as soon as possible.
I mean, in the realm of things you can do to another player in this game, aside from hacking/account stealing, in a PvE environment, KSing is probably one of the worst things you can do. People don't seem to care tho, and it really bothers me.
P.S. Oh, and Puppet, that's one of the greatest .gif's I've seen in a long time, and every time you post something I have to watch it from start to finish. Is that from something?

I can see it becoming necessary if you go through 10 gwings before you land on a spot that doesn't have a party on screen somewhere.

First week of one of the older events:
"We are investigating the characters in question."
Second week:
"We are still investigating, we cannot release any details."
Event ends:
Ticket closed.
Yeah, so just kill away.

I stopped caring about it after nothing was ever done about it and just started doing it myself figuring it would even out eventually.

Like I said they wont do cause if they did they would have ban the whole server, which in turn make people quit then they wont have money incoming to pay them selves for doing nothing, Cause they sure as hell dont enforce there own rules and have not for years.
Seriously the GM's all need to be fired for new ones that acutal will enforce all there own rules and actual cared about the what this game turned into.

Don't misunderstand me. I am not saying it is irrelevant, people should strive to be decent in an MMORPG as much as in real life. In theory anyway. My apologies, I was unaware of the fact that being a decent person was irrelevant in an mmorpg.
But as I said, decency is not a practically or systematically enforced rule, and there is no incentive to be decent, so yeah...
