It's official server
name Angeling (renewal)

10 % non fix cast time
I mean
You said dex 99 = 62 %
dex 50 = 52 % decrease

So it's only 10 % different isn't it ?

Yep

powerful I mean useful

since 3 luck = 1 matk
do 30 luck = 10 matk

Yes

is better than leveling vit first ?

my equipment are all from
eden equipment quest 3
and I have friend you play priest so I rarely die

Since you play with a priest and rarely die, then go with damage first (luk).

I'm fire wall build

haven't update for 2 years T-T
this guide still work isn't it ?

Yes for the most part it works :

Personally mine valid parts are as follow:

I. Introduction: (last paragraph note sure anymore)
II. Stat point allocation: OK
III. Skills: Skills part = OK; leveling = not updated (but could still be not so bad)
IV. Recommended Equipment: Needs updating (there is better equip now)
V. Preparing for transcendent class: Not valid anymore (the prices)
VI. Tips: OK
VII. Credits: OK
VIII. Conclusion: OK

Do you think int 99 dex 99 is better now ?

Since you're on Renewal, than my "stats" part of the guide is valid for you. 99 dex is not better. If you plan on playing most of your time with a priest, then you could even put more than 30 luk (and less vit).

Thank

Hope this helps!

Yes it's still weak and quite honestly, you'll be using SG all the time weither you choose heaven's drive or MS or Lov.

Heaven's drive could be a replacement, but I prefer AoE damage particularly when you have a decent Safety Wall.

Again, it depends of your build (equip?, skill?), how you play (solo PvM?, TI?, non-TI party play?), etc.

Sages are a pain to level. As for 99 int + 50 dex, it depends on what kind of sage you want to play. In the end, it doesn't really matter, because your build will change completly when you transcend.

You can't really WoE if you're not 3rd class. But if you want to go just for fun, use whatever you want to try (but you're going to die a lot).

I see 51 job points. You could drop two or three points from Soul Strike? Honestly, I use Napalm Beat more than I use SS (to finish off low-HP critters or lure mobs), but I also haven't used SS as a killing skill since I made my first renewal mage type a couple years ago.

I just checked with the skill tree and it's actually normal... Soul Strike will be useful for a while in the beginning so I wouldn't touch that.

I you want to skill reset, I'd remove 2 points in firebolt to put them after (last 2 points of the wizard skill tree for instance). If you're not resetting, then it's not too bad to use your wizard skill points to get the skills.

That's a great practical build, but don't forget Quag! Quagmire is a lifesaver for both supporting (great if you're partied with an AS Ranger and have nothing else to do) and solo mobbing (Safety Wall + Quag makes your SW last a lot longer depending on the mob since it slows them down).

That said, here's another option that also doesn't require a reset which focuses on your AoE. (It does require 1 more point into the mage skill Stone Curse for pre-reqs, though.) Without cast-time reduction gear, I'd stick to 3-5 JT and spam it over Quag (which, for a slow enough monster, means it never touches you, or only get in a few hit attempts on your SW before JT shoves them away). Losing Water Ball for this build really sucks (it's fun and I love it :p_smile: ), but a Pre-Trans char can level via (TI) parties fast enough without having WB as an alternative single target option. Quag lasts 15sec at level 3 which covers your AoE cast times, so no need to pull points from elsewhere to max it~

Yeah that could be good too. Honestly, you'll pretty much never use water ball. It's just to nicest skill to use, but you won't have a lot of occasion to use it.

The only thing I'm not sure is level 5 JT. This all depends on how you play, but most of my levels (being a wizard) were made with Sg + JT combo.

But in the end, I think both build can work out!

It's I again... I took a break from RO for who knows how long. A good chunk of months.
My mage is still stuck on Level 94, none of the Quests I encounter either give me decent enough EXP or are on a map with Aggro monsters and I can't survive. And I can't do Gramps because nobody seems to be looking for the below-100 part... althought that may be because I'm in Germany and it's noon here, although I generally had more luck in the late evening for parties.

Only Eden Gear.

I really feel like scrapping this Mage because I feel completely stuck on leveling her. I have 99 (+17) INT and 77 (+Something) DEX because I screwed up there. I just want to get her to Level 99 already or just give up on her and make a new character... Any tips? I'm mostly a solo-player, after all, so I can't really see myself getting together with a different class player.

Gramps is ideal, but you need to find a team.

If not, then see section V of the guide. Its going to take a while though to level.

That's the problem. I can't find anyone in Eden wanting a team for the 70-100 TIs.

And I can't survive the other monsters suggested in Section V

Most of the parties for low TI hang out actually in the TI, not in Eden. Have you tried going in and looking? Even if the entryway is full of monsters, you can always FWing around to find parties (most will accept extra wizzies) or talk to the NPC/BWing out to escape.

Also, which mobs from section V have you tried? The ones below don't require any special gear to kill.

- The super-slow Alarms on Clock Tower 3 in Al de Baran should be super easy at your level with Fire Wall/Safety Wall + LoV/SG/JT/even bolt spells. Even easier if you have Quag, too. <edit>Alarms are also total cake to mob if you use vertical fire wall.</edit>

- Muscipulars & Droseras (I'd go 1 map south of Rachel for this instead of Ice Dungeon) are easy with Fire Bolt or Meteor Storm - they're immobile and Droseras, though they're ranged, can't reach as far as Fire Bolt can if you approach from a cardinal direction (N/E/S/W) and Meteor can outrange them easily without doing anything special. Just FWing if you run into Galion/Roween.

- Stapos (+ Muscips/Droseras) south of Veins are weak to fire (Meteor again) and easy to mob even though they're not aggro - just carry around some junk loot (they drop jubilee/jellopy/apple) and start casting Meteor (or SG, even) near a bunch, then drop a bunch of random loot a second or two before Meteor goes off. If your Meteor doesn't kill them fast enough, cast Safety Wall or Quag on yourself first and bring some pots (or a Heal accessory if you have one).

- Porcellios south of Einbroch (the giant industrial town, not Einbech) are also looters weak to fire and vulnerable to water - you can use the same strategy as with Stapos. They move faster but have slower aspd. There's also only one aggro monster on the map - one Ungoliant, which moves super slowly (so just FWing). Metalings, another looter type, are also there, but just wing if you get mobbed. If Metalings Disarm your weapon, just relog and re-equip it.

For all of these, there's no need to have to survive anything even though you can actively mob everything but the muscips/droseras, and all three are on maps close to towns, so dying won't be too big a hassle in terms of travel time. The latter two mobs aren't even aggro.

Actually, like what Anchors said, you should just enter the TI. And I'm sure you will not have a hard time finding a party, especially because you are level 94.

In fact. the most common "party recruiting" chat in low TI is:

"R> 85+ AoE/Healers"

I didn't check inside the TI, mostly because I don't want to run the risk of getting mobbed by monsters, even by FWinging around. I have a little above the annoying amount of money I need for rebirth and I'm trying hard to keep that amount.

You could always BWing out, too. Not to mention, where you warp in is right next to the NPC you talk to to warp out which only takes 1 text box (1 hit of Enter). If you want a party, you'll have to risk entry (which is usually a very low risk anyway since people usually keep the entrance clean). But don't worry about spending money on normal everyday supplies - most people leave their loot on the ground inside TI maps, so it shouldn't be an issue to just run around and grab stuff while FWinging and still come out ahead.

I mean, even if you figure worst case scenario and you die often trying to loot, just go back in at 99/50 when dying doesn't really matter til you job change. Hang around the people near the entrance and just pick up loot. Any leftovers can go to a merchant alt or whoever is your "bank" character.

I managed to get her up one level (Yay...!) still 4 levels to go...

And while I have a Merc char, she's listed as Premium Service, in the second character page from the Yggdrasill/Ymir merge, yet I can still use her... but I haven't touched her in a year or so.

Congrats! You'll get to 99 with a little perseverance, no worries. Also, I was thinking more a Merch on a separate account so you can dual client and trade any leftover money to it? That way you don't have to worry about trying to leave your zeny at 1,285,000 or whatever, and you can OC your loot without having to spend money on storage fees.
