Templar 40s twinkie help

there are a few equations for defense but im not sure which one is right check the wiki, but i think that ones wrong.

how is defense reduction calculated?

And whats the deal with de-leveling? does it allow you to max your lvl 40 skills to 10 or does it just give you extra skill points that still have to fit within the 49 level restrictions?

defense formula is some logarithmic crap, basically about 700 defense = 50% dmg reduction and 80% dmg reduction (cap) is at about 2.7k

deleveling will give you more points but you cannot have higher lvl skill than your lvl, so you have more points to spend on skills within your lvl restriction, if most people do it, they just do it from lvl 50 since you get 5 more skill points, but most classes dont even need any extra skill points

well thats true i had 12 points left over at 49. Do you get a bonus like that on every 10th level?

yes from svs merchant, you just put it in one of the slots but actually transform into it, but the bonus will still apply

For a Lvl 49 Templar twink...

Use the ordinary Lvl 35 FoC set and try to +15-20 it. Enchant it with Ion Mine 1.5% Fire&Elec resistance.

Then either ordinary or supernus Reinforced jewelry (+15 at least if possible) and enchant it with Ion Mine 0.5% skill crit.

Use TB weapons for the resist.... careful because they're expensive to reinforce. +15% skill crit in weapon and magic dmg xeons if possible. Resistance in shield.

Get the Lvl 45 SvS costume for extra hp and resist slots.

For DNAs, +10 Strenghtened Lesser heal, +5 Swift Lesser Heal and +10 Strenghtened Rejuvenation.

Max elec bolt.. charged bolt and holy bolt as much as possible.... max rejuv and lesser heal and get elec twister 1.... max sleep as much as possible and curse resistance too. Then you can decide what you want with the leftover of points... I like Conc Lvl 5 for the regen.

there are about 5 or 6 regular ones.
near all have wrong build.... maxing fear, not DNA VT etc
mb 2 out of the 6 are good.

They go well as no one goes curse resist - well only a few of us have. So they hit hard ><

Ones who go well spam VT hard on the move like every 6 secs.

Fear useless it seems. ppl just break it with in seconds. this 49 foc we talking about... we not all pro.

personaly rather have those points in binding. hold down twinks for the team much more usefull.

Would also max Kaz. that slow annoying.

Im not sure 77 defense would make a difference in there. Max Kaz only increase his lvl and survivability(slightly I think). Fear is useful in other situations. Say you are pitted 2v1 or simply want to break sing's sleep(lol), but yes you have a good point in binding. I would simply drop Invisibility for it. Blessing should do more good if any at that level.

Oh also i think there is something like a common defense rate under 2xx? Ichisan explained a long time ago in old forum thread so I cannot remember. I think it is something like everything under 200 is read as 0% or 5% idr.

I have a suggestion,make a templar,lol a lot,then delete it.
Make another,lvl past the lame and noob FOC49,be a tempest,have more fun.
Case closed.

meh bm will still own you no matter what, its impossible to cap more than 1 element unless you +30 your weap or sth

if you get nice elec resistance, shamans will eat you up in 1 combo

if you get fire resistance, templars and bms will kill you in couple secs too

with shamans having less healing ability, templars and bms own the most atm and hunters are pretty good too

I friend of mine told me he would make a SH for 49 just for fun ^-^. The Fear is pretty okay at that level, isn't?

And I leveled my little shaman to 42, and then back to 30. Days later Gravity reseted the skills. *Angry fist*

ah for templars cs costume is a must cos they have for hp
