Just Wondering?
I am kinda tired of getting to lvl 99 Trans just to have a few job levels left to get to job 70. I know that the exp does carry over once you change third but it doesn't account for all of the exp only around 14m. On one of my last chars to go job 70 i lost around 10m exp.
If the new curve doesn't then there should be new ways of evening the gap of doing trans job 70 looked into.
I don't really care if the build doesn't call for it i just complete job 70 any way.

No. The curve job exp modification is for getting job 50 when level 140 or so... and not being 145/40 or something like that.

I duno an npc for exp to job exp could help but i don't really see that as a solution.
They could also have a permanent kill count only available to those who are 99 that gives only gives job exp.
This is both a problem for 150's and 99's trans but the 150' or 3rd's have some sort of solution cooked up already.
I understand the curve would be more work change in the trans respect, but it would be nice if we could get some sort of solution to this predicament.

I'm not sure if everyone is aware of Midgard Ore Quest.
It gives 700k job exp (non-VIP) with 18hr cooldown.
It only takes a couple of minutes.
Its a part of the New World quest series. The series is quite long and gets a bit hard on one of the quest prereqs Finding the Fairy (if you're on the low side level wise) for the Ring of the Ancient Wise King.
Its fast job exp for those last job levels and repeatable everyday ^^. then you wouldn't have to worry about losing that much base exp.
WIN WIN, no?

Not that i don't think that is a good quest but prolly like many others almost going third is a very urgent time. I think the waiting for a week to get the last 8mil of job exp level would be be too damn tough when i see the third class right ahead of me. I would prolly just rather bite the bullet and grind even with the loss of exp.

the plan is to remove the exp loss from monsters higher than you.
you can be beastly and grind hard stuff. like kasa

I had the feeling the norm is something like 99/64.
I actually thought it was ok when you ended close to 69.
Note that this is now different NOT because the exp curve has changed, but much more because the base/job exp ratio of monsters above base level 90 was intentionally changed from from ~0.8 to ~1.1.
Meaning when you get to about 80/50, with the biggest amount of job exp still ahead of you, the job exp become slower on the good targets, while base is rising normally with monster level.
If they simply reversed that change to the job exp to all monsters above 90 which was done before iRO even got renewal for who knows what reason, not just would it change trans finishline back to 99/68, it would also change the 3rd cls one, not to 145/50 yet, but surely really close to 150/50.
I wonder what they're gonna do o:

I have a warp though so its quite efficient and not so time consuming as far as the destinations are concerned.

I allways got 99/68 when renewal (getting 50 job on first class). With those 2 levels you'll get lvl 100 at 95% with the next monster you kill. I don't see the problem xD

I got 99/67, then finished my job levels on the medusa turnin event.
[I would totally change class in 99/68, but then I got VIP and then got the mood to reach job 70 on trans D:]
Hmm... And you reach high job very fast if you don't do the level 71~85 Eden quests.

I got 99/68 when I had the char before renewal at around lvl 90 trans. When i go Trans and go from scratch i have been getting around 99/66-67.

Again, would you people mind saying where you leveled after 80?
If you got to 99/68 from an event, turn-ins, that's not the normal way.
I transed my Sage after renewal, job exp started going slow after Stapos, I ended up 99/64. After which I did Midgard Ore everyday for 2 weeks getting me to like 99/69, then grinded to invisible base 100,9 and job 70.

Stapos until 90, then I got harpy event. I thought I would finish in something like 99/60, because the job curve started to be very very hard. [Is 90/48 normal? I started events with that /omg]
And I would kill myself if I had to level with [that weakened and SLOW] Arrow Vulcan until 99/70.
For people wanting job levels: Ignore the eden quests. They don't give any.
Note: I have a friend who got 99/39. This is the result of using turnin events and eden quests.

Last time i did a normal grind on an MS Without turnins i ended up at the tail end of job 66 at base 99. My route from lvl 80 to 99 was Stapos/Siromas/Hillwinds/Desert Wolves/Magmarings.

I think Heim did say somewhere that they were going to very slightly tweak trans JXP so you hit job 70 at 98ish instead of hitting 99+max xp storage+a discarded level's worth of xp. I'm not positive on that though.
The part that's getting a massive change is 3rd job JXP, so the first levels go very fast, and you max out job significantly before base.

Pre Renewal I leveled primarily in Abyss Lake 3, Thanatos Tower 8, and Biolabs 3. I was 97/67 before quitting. I came back recently during Renewal and got my aura at job 69 by leveling in Stapos, Magmarings, Magma 2, and Juperos 1.
From my understanding, this was the general consensus regarding those maps pre-renewal.
AL3 - Good Base,Bad Horrible Job
TT8 - Good Base, Great Job
Bio3 - Great Base, Great Job
I can't speak for the renewal versions of these maps, but hopefully you got the specific input you were looking for.

I found the last jobs as trans to be really easy to get.... just mammo'ed arcs and it came in real fast. Was surprised. The difficulty of getting the last trans jobs is really nothing compared to the third job jobs.
The story is completely different on third job, where the job exp is brutal, particularly at the early and late ends. You change to third job, and are like "crap, now I have to gain 10 job levels just to get the skills that define my third job, and in the mean time, i'm killing like i was as trans! This sucks!" (I know several people who've quit after coming back, jobchanging, and seeing how slow jexp was) and at the other end, you get 150 "crap, I'm 150, but only job 45! But i've still got 5 jobs, each of which is slower than my last base level! This sucks!"

So where is a good place for job exp pre 3rd class? Job 59. 11 more jobs till I can trans. I wanna kill myself cause Im at magmarings now and know I'll be here till 115. All the wasted base exp is making me cry. Im a sinx. >>; Dunno how you guys made it 99/68. Im 97 1/2 and job 59. At best Ill be like 64-65 I think when I hit 99.

If you can change maps, to Arclouze or Anolian, it will be better for you.
And "your wasted base". At least you can equip your class headgear right after changing class.
Note: I'm 113/23. And it's already hard. I mean. At least I get 3000 job per monster now.
1% base for me is 13xk, while 1% job for me is 14xk. [Yes, I'm too lazy to read the tables and I just check the required exp when I die]

How bad are arcs or anos? I cant flee arcs so Im scared. But renewal is throwing me off already.
Before renewal(And when I played). Assassin was 70 - 99 in turtle dungeon. Switch ele damas. When ice pick came out.. still turtles. Now its... same #(@! different smell. Magmarings till 70(job), then 115 base. Im shooting myself in the foot for picking assassin cross in the first place... but still. @.@

In magmarings, either leveling or looter bots are there.
In Anolians, just looter bots exist. So you might have a better avaiability of monsters.
If you can't go there, check the Kobold Archers, or Niflheim 2 too.

I must have been odd, I transed and hit 99/70 on the button.
After we fix the glaring problem with 3rds, we'll poke the trans levels and see where the difficiency is.
