We are investigating, please make sure to download and run the program indicated in the OP before trying to patch.

 

If you get a .lua error run patchup.exe if you have it in your game folder. 

 

In addition, you can try downloading default AI from here http://irowiki.org/wiki/AI to see if that clears up the issue for you.

Already install the microsoft application but i got the same error and it is strange in my laptop ro client run perfectly

I downloaded and installed the microsoft app. I still got the same error. So I deleted RO and re installed it but now it wont even let me load RO. I get this message, skininfo_new.lua:219: attempt to call global `C_IsSteamOn' (a nil value), whenever I select Play on patcher. Just bought VIP today and I can't even play =/

Please make sure that you are redownloading the client and installing to an entirely new folder to avoid old data causing issues with a reinstallation and that you are running the game as an admin.

does the -1rag1 trick still work?

Where you make a Ragexe.exe shortcut go to shortcut properties and add a -1rag1 to skip the patcher itself

Prob not really relevant idk was a thought

Thanks Yaguh, ran patchup and it fixed my problem. But now I'm at where I started with, the same problem where I try to type at login and RO crashes. =/

is it like ragexe. and then you cant type? :c try running RO as admin or try running the set up again?

I can load RO but it crashes whenever I type anything at the login screen. I always run it as admin, I re installed RO on a different folder, I'm tired now and need to sleep for work. I had a feeling I shouldn't have bought VIP today, hope I can get a refund, or get this fixed by tommorow. Nite~

You're getting C_IsSteam error, and you don't have patchup.exe in your RO folder?

 

If you're getting a different error, you need a different fix.

Hi guys, I did this and it worked

1. Open your data folder (ex>C:\Gravity\Ragnarok Online\data) and find hidechat.dll and hidevend.dll
2. Cut these files and put in somewhere else outside your ragnarok folder (this is for back up too as well)
3. Run "C:\Gravity\Ragnarok Online\Ragexe" 1rag1

or "C:\Gravity\Ragnarok Online\Ragexe"-1rag1 if the previous one didn't work.

 

note that you should change the destination/directory folder to your ragnarok directory folder

 

Please be aware that this is just a temporary solution. And remember to put those files back to their original location before next maintenance.

It become another problem, I already try to instaling that new windows thingy, and repair the client. and now I decide to reinstalling it.
