I just was wondering in-game after going into a portal or dungeon my health AND mana drops about 50%....

is this a bug or something i dont know about ?

This isn't a bug. It is caused by the Dragon Lord buff everyone of us automatically gets while playing on channel 1 and until reaching level 41.

This buff adds extra HP and MP points to the ones you actually have, I believe it doubles them. But sadly it only gives you the extra points but doesn't fill them up ( I consider this being a bug myself, I mean the not automatically fill up, because it seems some classes do have it worse then others..). And on any map change you do those extra HP and MP points from the buff do reset themselves so that only the HP and MP you actually have are filled up and the ones added by the buff are empty again. So all you can do is to use food and HP and MP pots to fill those extra points up again.
