We have 4 Classifications for Jewelry (NPC Shop, NPC Drop, Crafting, Union [Honor]).
The changes we first wanted to focus on was the NPC Shop Jewelry, there is a lot of Charm based jewelry which is useless currently to new players. We wanted to solve this!
What happened is that during our talks with the Senate it came up that we should consider more than just the first few sets and really make a system that is fluid.
Our design was simple, new users would purchase Jewelry from an NPC, very basic stats and once they get to Level 100 they would then need to pick up Jewelry from Crafters or participate in PvP depending on what type of jewelry they wanted or Rare drops from Kings/Bosses.
Depending on where you get Jewelry the type of stats and bonuses will be different, this should allow Crafting and Honor Points to have their own place, while NPC Drops span a gap and keep things rare.
We did review and scale the jewelry stats which you will notice that some values went down, and others went up.
One of the key things we have noticed and really made notice with the Jewelry Sets was a need to set better values for stats such as CHA, SEN, DEX, and then balance out the values for STR, INT, CON with them.
So that is a whole other project we will work on, this is so you understand that we know the values need work and we will work on them!
In the below images, any name that is in Red is a new piece that is being added. Names in Green are highlighted so we know what items need to have a slight name change (Adding Earring or Necklace to them).
NPC Shop Jewelry is considered "Basic" and the stats are simple and direct, its just a choice on what state you want a bump in.
Level 20 NPC Shop Jewelry
Level 50 NPC Shop Jewelry
Level 75 NPC Shop Jewelry
Once a player reaches Level 80, they have a new way to acquire Jewelry via NPC Drops.
These drops are intended to be "Rare" or "Epic" drops and would not be common or casual for players to obtain.
A new set would be available every 20 levels for players from Kings/Bosses (Capped at Level 160) based on what is currently available. More sets to come with future updates.
NPC Dropped Jewelry Sets
A player will have different options to choose from beyond Level 100.
They can pick up Jewelry from Crafters which will focus on Secondary Stats and Bonuses.
Or they can get Jewelry using Honor points which will focus on Base Stats.
Jewelry obtained from Crafters and Honor Points will have Set Bonuses for wearing the complete set.
Crafting Jewelry Sets
Honor Point Jewelry Sets
We have more room for more Jewelry and these will come with updates down the road.
Along with this change, you will notice on Thursday that many of the icons you use to associate with Crafted/NPC Shop/NPC Drop will change.
This is due to so many NEW pieces and sets being added.
