[Beyond]

For those who may or may not know. I will be leaving for deployment to Afghanistan here in the next few weeks and will be gone till around April/May time frame. This post isn't about the war and who is right or wrong. It is about the one game that brought us all together. Ragnarok has been my second addiction and my third love and I've seen it grow and I hope it to take many more years away from me.

So on Ymir this week on the 12th of November(Saturday) @ 3pm PST(time may change drastically depending on the situation), join me in the town of Prontera for a huge event. From the Newbies to the Elites, to the GM's to the Trolls, Yggdrasil to Valkyrie. Everyone is welcome(except for the bots, you can stay where you are). Come say your Goodbyes and your Hellos and let's have some fun.

There will be many different types of games played, and prizes will be handed out, but you'll have to be fast, smart, and lucky. Also, If you are from one of the other servers and don't have need for the prize that's fine too. Everyone is welcome to come and play.

Always room for more games. If you have a game you think are fun and that can work in iRO, send me a PM with the game name and rules and I'll see if I can fit it in.

There will be a secret grand prize at the end!!

If there are any prizes leftover after this event, they will be donated to Ultimates Weekend Events to be given out.

hmm 1500hrs on saturday, which would mean... Early sunday morning for me I'm in 10+ GMT which means Approx 18 hours, 0900 ish on sunday ( If my maths is correct ). I'll be at work then. Although I'd love to be in game to wish you a farewell and a safe tour/Mission, and be there for your Mini Event ( could pick up something useful as a new plater =p ).


As For game Suggestions, You cold have an Alt Account. and

- play Trivia ie ( 2 people chat with a pass of the monster name or place name )
- Good Old Hide and Seek
- Last man standing type thing spam BB's ect.
- Some Form of race ( although this could be warp abused =( )

Wait.,,. cant you still play RO while on deployment? Pretty sure I have someone on my alliance who's currently deployed in afghanistan that still shows up for woe from time to time.

Beyond what is your branch of service? I've been to Iraq 3x and I know how you feel about leaving the game. It will be much harder if you are a guild leader like myself in the past when you have to say goodbye to your members because of the deployment. I have a suggestion to the community. Why not his Friday veterans day at a certain time, why don't we line up and give a salute for our service members and veterans specially Beyond who is about to deploy. GM should be there as well so we can attract the other players or make a server wide announcement about it. Then we all lined up in prontera center right before kafra and let our those who about to deploy walk in the center as we say our cheers and praises kinda like a welcome home to our troops parade.

@MrBudd - Yes, there are actually a few players that are deployed and are able to get online(I have two friends over there now that are able to get on from time to time). However where I am headed may or may not have have any form of internet service so I opted not to purchase a laptop as theft is also a major issue while deployed. It'll be good just to focus on my job there and then return as soon as I possibly can.

@Ariex - I am currently in the Air Force. And no I am not a guild leader of any kind nor belong to any actual guilds at the moment and just became a wanderer of sorts in RO. I actually did not know it was going to be Vet. day on Friday(I don't follow normal weekday rotations and my squadron is a 365/7 so it's not uncommon if I work holidays such Christmas/Thanksgiving/Vet/Labor/etc). I planned the event on the weekend for better attendance since it was an actually weekend for many players

Yeah same here I'm in the air force as well although wheat I heard from my fellow squadron who were just came back from Afghanistan that most aafes facilities are being tearing down now for the drawdown. You may still be able to log in the forums cuz services are still there for them. Just be safe out there. Send me a pm on my RG name is Ariex The Crusader if you need anything.

I love this and used to do this myself back in the day. I have to warn you though, do not announce this and drop loot. Unless you get a gm to be there while you do it.

Someoen is in eden playing games and dropping loot. Suddenly a botter showed up and soon as the item left his hands it was gone.

So dropping items is kinda out because botters will just auto loot them from the people you mean to have fun with.

I was air force so I know what your going through.
To bad I cant make this event... I will be at pet smart trying to get dogs adopted for the humane society.

No worries, I have no plans to drop loot of any kind on the ground. Any prizes given, will be handed via the Trade Window and to make sure there are no complications and as added assurance Equip window will be open as well(that way people can get the prizes they won without worry)
