I was happily afking at OD2 when I started getting this:

I think it's from a geneticist that keep greeding around me. It's so damn annoying. How the hell can I fix this, please?

It sucks during WOE too man, recall or you start pushing with ppl on-screen > sprite error > crash, did all the fixes Ive red but nothing work

And the worst part is that since I'm not watching RO window, after getting tons of errors I gotta exit RO after that D:!

someone in my guild is having this problem too. so you`re not alone in that. .. by the way someone ingame whispered me asking if i`ve seen that greeding gene, was that you? i`m Portable in there. XD i`ve only seen her once.. and she seemed to be wearing something that looked like a black headband top headgear.. kind of..? i dont know what it was.. but my friend said she didnt see any top headgear so that must be what is causing the sprite errors

yeah, that`s her name.. i searched for her in ropd and it shows she's wearing a crown of deceit but her sprite shows a witch's pumpkin hat + alarm mask instead... o_O and what i saw her wear ingame was that black headband + alarm mask.... so weird

The cod was from when she had her gears open, which is now set to not show, so it shows whatever new headgears she has on and not updating her equipment info. She's not wearing that black headband because she probably hasn't been to Pront/Eden and ROPD only updates on 6 pm and 6 am PST.

oh, alright, i didnt know since i dont use ropd much.. sill want to know what that headgear was though... i had never seen it before and since it`s erroring people out maybe it`s something new

I've been getting the error too, and on 4 different computers running 3 different windows versions and all with different RO configs.

Just a thought but it might not be good to post on here what headgears are causing the problem. You know there are griefers who will use that info for evil. Might just be best to send in tickets.

maybe you could report the person for harassing you if they do it on purpose? because i kinda see it as some sort of harassment, when they know something is causing you trouble and they use it against you. by the way my friend managed to talk to that gene and found out what the headgear is, it was a champions wreath... yeah something i`ve never seen before..

yeah its been causing errors for a while. the only way to fix it is to redownload the new ro client or fully repatch it

And how can I fix that?

1. Close all patch clients and game clients
2. Edit patch.inf with a hex editor so that the contents are: 7A 08 00 00
3. Start the renewal patch client

I wouldn't recommend it. I use XVI32. Alternatively, you can download this patch.inf, but it will have you repatching everything from mid-November.
