So I have a 99 female ninja that I'm prepping for Oberou. Assuming Oberou are magic based I had a few questions about her gear.

1. First I made my ninja VIT build not AGI build, with rudolph hairband she has excellent survivability. Assuming I do everything PvP/MvP/PvE/WoE, which shield should I use? I already have the advanced arm guard though I know I should slot it. Should I give up the 5 mdef for the silver guard or just get the slotted advanced guard? I could never afford a valk shield. And where do I get an immune shield?

2. Just confirming a belief, I'm desperately trying to obtain a ninja suit, I'm assuming that 20% sp usage reduction will be amazing for oberous? Can anyone sell me a spare?

3.How does Matk influence the unique magic effects of the Oberou? I can't really afford a bazerald so I'm really stuck with the eden dagger. Are there any recommended gears that are affordable that boost Matk assuming matk helps Oberous?

4.Eden Manteau seems pretty good, 10% neutral tolerance. Maybe I should try to gather the morpheus set?

5.WTF is up with shoes? are there any good ones?

6.Still need a phen card, can card it into my brooch though :3. Until then, any gear recommendations.

I found that guide largely useless as the only gear recommendations were on daggers

If you want to even be dealing enough dmg to kill stuff past 100, I would think that you would need to dual-wield matk daggers after the expansion comes out (in PVM at least). To be honest, your best bet for matk would be the unslotted RWC pendant with 2 +9 RWC daggers, as those 3 items alone would get you +390 matk, and if the pendant is enchanted with double spell 3, 414 matk. For your budget, you'll likely have to do with eden dagger III and II though. That gets you +150 matk, but its likely that your kunai skills will do more dmg still (including the oboro ones). Of course, seeing that oboros have access to a matk increase buff, if the boost is good enough your spells might start to out-dmg the kunai ones.

When the update comes we should get more matk daggers to choose from though, so you could look forward to those.

That's interesting. What does RWC stand for? Currently I just have a ton of unupgraded ancient daggers to try and get 2 as high as I can when I finally get the chance to upgrade them...

we will be getting new daggers with the expansion which are basicly slotted bazeralds tho for starting off if you can get them spell enchanted bazeralds will work wonders... shield wise you cant beat the valk shield, shoes wise for PVM your best bet are gonna be Battle Greeves [1] from the battlegrounds... i have an unslotted ninja suit i can sell you for 500k or a +4unfrozen ninja suit ill sell for 5 mil... garment wise aim for arch angel wings [1] with a spell enchant... without access to phen over upgrade a huuma calm mind shuriken (it makes all skill casting uninteruptable) tho a phen should be gotten is available... slotted advanced arm guards are better than the siver guard since magic is way more of a threat to ninja than actual physical damage... personally for PVM i use Arch Angel wings, Glittering jacket (better Mdef than ninja suit and causes blind when attacking or defending), battle greeves, valk shield (valk is generally cheaper than immune shield), +7damascus[2], +6Bazerald spell 2 spell 3, triple malicious +7gladius, +7 huuma blaze... i switch gears in both pvp and pvm as needed... im a magic, kunai, KS hybrid... pre kagerou ninja killer build...

Oh please sell me that ninja suit I'll gladly pay. Just spent 2 hours hunting munak to get 5 adventurer suits and a bongun card

Check the cash shop or play vends. They'll be leaving on next week's maintenance tho, so if you want to get them, best to get them quick. That or to wait for this year's RWC sets (if any).

if we can use one handed swords like were supposed to with K/O then an Excalibur will give your shuriken holy property... and the kuhkri will give your shuriken shadow property now... shuriken transfer element from base weapons...

I thought that they had patched K/O such that weapon element no longer affect kunai skills? At least for explosive kunai. Previously you could endow explosive kunai with the 4 elemental sphere buffs in K/O skill tree, but they removed that so people could no longer deal elemental dmg with explosive kunai. So that makes the elemental spheres purely a buff to the ninja magic dmg (+10% total magic dmg per sphere for the corresponding element, up to 100% which is essentially double dmg), although the earth spheres supposedly gives 10% equipment atk/def per sphere.

At least this was what I gathered from the irowiki forum.

dunno bout the explosive kunai... regular kunai has its own element... shuriken however adopts the element of the base weapon

Do people even use shurikens anymore? :heh:

Anyway, all I know about explosive kunai is that it is neutral and is not an ammo type, so you can't equip it.

Yea but it also means you can't make it elemental from what I know, so no more 80k explosive kunai aoe in scarab hall...

ive never really liked the idea of one shot kills for every monster... makes my mind feel numb spamming the same one or 2 skills over and over... thats why im a hybrid to begin with...

At least magic K/O would become viable with the elemental spheres. Although in terms of magic atk, nothing comes close to beating dual +9/12 RWC daggers + pendant...

I heard that Izayoi was nerfed though, originally gave +250matk on top of the fixed/variable cast time reduction. Not sure how much it adds now.

I don't think core mechanics are varied between the 2 versions though. Its not like we're some private server that adjusts skills as we please, we do follow what kro gives us. The custom stuff have not actually affected core skills much.

skills wont really be changed much but we may get alterations to K/O gears and weapon availability...

RWC dagger + pendant/ring beats most other options yea, although double quad AS carded daggers might do better...
