At L10 it deals over 400 dmg compared to L1 of about 150, thinking of maxing it since I have no plans to lvl past L69 or L70 anyway.

Errr, Onslaught for Commander? It isnt a bad skill, BUT I thought mainly for Defender or Protector, because they cant have anything better. Commanders have access to really cool skills so I really cant see the point of investing in Onslaught. And spending 12 precious points to max it?

I dont know, I would never do it personally. If we are talking about attack skills my priority would be: 1) Boomerang of Sword Aura, 2) Moonlight Slash, 3) Chain Slash (2nd Job version). Then, Beam Slash too. All these 4 offer some nice additional damage. The 3 first are multiple target, the first 2 have DoT. You cant ask for anything better. These attack skills, together with a few others, are the very definition of the Commander. In my humble opinion anyway...

well maybe in pve those skills are definition of commander but in pvp commander is 1vs1 specialist therfore onslaught is a good skill as it deals lots of dmg BUT as he said commies need their aoes for grind in first place and most commies go for aa build for pvp as skills miss so much, BUT if skills didnt miss so much i would see good potential in onslaught.

and protectors do have a better skill, its called low blow and its stronger than any commander skill in 1 hit not taking into account 1h mastery ofc just base dmg of a skill
