People do not really do the battle grounds any more. The best way to get them is to trade in eden badges for the corresponding badge for the equipment desired in the battle grounds.

There is a trader just in front of where you appear on the map. Talk to him and you will get the option to trade the badges.

Sometimes there are people that organize battleground party in Eden but not that often.
Most people do TI and get EMB to exchange for KVM badges.
Alternatively, you can do Seal quest to farm KVM badges when they are available. Most do Seal of Sleipnir (80 kvm) or Megingjard (40 Kvm) and have warp slaves to warp them. You can check seal status in Pront (113,294) near Seal of Mjolnir starting npc.
Edit: You can get Medal of honor from Erundek (npc with eye patch).

It's a shame new players don't know much about it. Battlegrounds was a lot of fun back then when it was active. I really blame the fact that there's other means of getting the BG Badges now than before. Back then you actually had to play these games to get them. Now KVM weapons and stuff are just common everyday WoE items.
