I heard that the fastest way to level a gene was by MvPing all the way with BMx3.My question is that can a low leveled gene survive whatever a bloody branch throws at it?Except stuff like ifrit,Bee,VR obviously.

Depends, do you have a homunculus S, and if so which one? Painkiller makes most of the low tier MVPs laughable, mid-tier to an extent if you're properly geared. However if you're using a BM, it would probably be more time-efficient if you do it with a tanky partner just in case something hard pops up. Or bring lots of tokens.

Of course this also depends heavily on your gear... even Painkiller won't save you from Moony's mammonite if you're walking in there with Eden gear. :P

If you have a dieter you can just make it retarded with volcanic ash too.

Heh the only alchemist i have is a vend slave/brewer/slot occupier.I'm gonna make another chemist soon.I'm not sure about dieter or sera. It depends on how long the ash bug will stay.
Also does the ash bug reduce MvP's to a vegetable or can they attack?

I really wouldn't get dieter just for volcanic ash... they're going to fix it eventually and you're going to regret choosing it over sera, unless you like pyro. I'm not even sure if it's considered skill abuse or not.

It makes the MVP just stand there, it won't melee you or use skills or do anything. It doesn't seem to ever go away, but I noticed if you poke the MVP a few times the effect sometimes wears off and it snaps back.

Uh does poke mean acid bombing it?
When they fix it i'll uh get a sera and ..omg... start over or i'll make a sura which is much easier.
Also i'm gonna go on a 3 month hiatus due to examinations so when i come back i'll decide.

No, by poke I mean meleeing it. I wanted to see what would happen and the effect seemed to wear off.

You can do that, but it's a lot of effort down the drain. You can also get eira for silent breeze, but I'm sure that probably has the nerfstick coming it's way sometime too. Painkiller seems to be the only one that's relatively safe.

Unless you got decent gears, you won't even need homun S to kill most mvps.

They should be more focused on nerfing skills ignoring reducts than nerfing homunculus S skills. They are fine as they are in WoE/PvP setting.

Silent breeze is not, volcanic ash is fine in woe/pvp.
Breeze is retarded.

And yes they should fix all skills ignoring reducs asap.

I was under the impression that volcanic ash's effect was a bug? It's kind of ridiculous that the MVP just stands there and does nothing even after the ash has expired - however it's a completely different story in a WoE setting, I think in that regard it's fine as it is.

lol so if i don't have decent gears i won't need a homun?
I'm going bio3 with eden gear.
The important thing is i'll have to decide in three months anyway.
Thanks for the information

Back to those days. Before merge, the low-tier MVP can be easily alive. Or if it is dead. There would be like at least easier to find un-camped tombs. That's how I level my low-leveled gene.
Now, it's harder to see any low-tier MVP alive.
I wonder if they only live just to breath for a few seconds until those MVP spammers kill them <_<

I heard that the fastest way to level a gene was by MvPing all the way with BMx3.My question is that can a low leveled gene survive whatever a bloody branch throws at it?Except stuff like ifrit,Bee,VR obviously.

BB only if you have BMX3 and some insurance package with at least a tanker and a healer in your party, just in case, a stronger MVP came out. Tanking with homunculus works too.

However, with decent gears. You can solo ET just for a few floors (just to gain EXP) . :P

Make two genes with dieter and sera if you can't decide between the two. They're both very nice. :heh:

It's not that bad, I have two genes with both those homuncs. It's terribly time consuming, but I think it was worth it in the end. *-*

Enough to make most mobs (if not all) melee you for 1 damage. Keep in mind though, skills will still hurt regardless of Painkiller.
