First time I downloaded the game via Gateway and when I tried to install a window popped up saying "preparing to install", it stayed forever and the installation didn't go any further.
After that I downloaded the client again using torrent and still the same result

I've checked some other programs that use .msi file type to check if there were any issues with Windows Installer but the installation went well.

Could you,please, give me any suggestions?

Don't know if this'll help you, but if you open up your task manager and set the process "msiexec.exe" at a higher processor priority, it might get you past the forever install. Just worked on my machine.

I experienced that problem too, but Athos helped me. Check the thread above.

Mine took a while too, but eventually the installation began. Just leave it and go do something .. if you come back after like 10minutes and still preparing, then something is probably wrong.

Oh, I just wasn't patient enough I set WI on high priority and waited 15 min and it worked. (Win XP)
