I currently have a priest and I want to help one of my friends level his guild.

The problem is...

I am thinking of staying 99 HP to tax him 99% or should I turn into AB and then tax 99%?

The question is... I want him to stay in level range for the low TI - or should I stick to the mid TI for that?

Anyone? I need suggestions, etc.

You can only tax 50% to start so you may as well get into the highest TI or at least into the 130s or so. Honestly if you wanted I'd say just go sorc w/ kahii/AB in magma2 on 50% tax it'd be so mindless and easy to get to recall/max extension if that's the goal.

You'll want to turn AB first, so at least you get job levels. Job levels really are super important for an AB.

Someone recommended me to go ME instead, and go solo on TIs/etc. Is that a good suggestion?

TI monsters aren't always ME-able as ME only works for undead and demon types. Since you're a HP, ME is an option because you can go grind in Nifleheim. You can also stay as a FS priest and support TI parties for the rewards since healers are always in demand, it all depends on your play style.

Why not leave the priest as is in the low TI, but level your friend's guild with a high level killer that can solo for enough guild levels?

Coming from an ME/Adoramus Arch Bishop, unless you have loads of experience leveling solo you wont gain enough exp to consier being enough for your guild, unless you level 24/7.
I'd says stay FS, turn AB and just keep accruing exp through various TIs.
