The files are being stored in your system TEMP folder. You can Google that up. Actually, before deleting those files, you should see if there is a 2nd stage installer executable in that TEMP folder.

Also, you should post things like this in the Tech Support part of the forum.

If you are using NT, XP, Vista, or W7, you can look under Administrative Tools for the event viewer. Look in the Application and Error logs to see what went wrong.

How much space do you have on the harddrive you're installing RO into?

I know this should be moved to the game support sect
but I'm having the same problem!
It stays on Preparing to Install for like 30minutes, then I can click agree to terms and conditions, and then it gets stuck on this screen that says
"Please wait while the Setup Wizard installs Ragnarok Online.
Status"
and the progress bar doesnt move at all, it just stays frozen -__-

then after another 30 mins, it'll say it cannot be completed as the setup wizard was interuppted or something like that!

my cousins are coming over in like 3 hours, and I told them I'd have it installed and patched x____x

Eeek, help!

BE calm guys they did not compact the IRRO file's so it will take you 10-25mins i had the same problem and it will be slowed down 1.5x for vista user's even with UAC off. while it is reading the file's getting them ready for install it will be trying to run Allow this program to install "run as adamin" in background.. so basicly it will run a lil slower without admin controll on but once it all loads 15-25mins you should get that pop up screen and be all ready to start installing and soon enough playing =D. HOPE THIS HELPED AND MERRY CHRISTMAS Xinn.

1) Check that there is sufficient space on the Windows drive. You need ~3.4gb + 1.7 gb for the installation itself.

2) Check that you aren't letting a powersaveing feature interrupt the installer

he says his cousins are coming over, why not just get them to copy their RO folder to a USB and use that instead of installing?

Hello everyone.
Just thought I'd add to this, as I was having the same problem.

I use Windows 7, and this is how I fixed it.

1) I changed my UAC settings, as suggested in the Stickied thread on this Board.
If you don't know where in the Control Panel it is, just open the Start Menu and search for "UAC".
The only result is the menu you need to pull up.
And you WILL need to restart once this is done.

2) I changed my powersave settings(everything to "Never" just for good measure; and remember to change it back if installing RO was the only reason you changed your settings).

3) Restart PC and run the installation again.

I'm currently looking at the Installation Success Screen with the iRO shortcuts on my Desktop.

Hope this helped!

MERRY XMAS
