I do not see the "Bonanza" anywhere in this weeks maintenance. Again another maintenance left little to desire.
I guess you must not be reading the spammed messages about this months Groove Box that only costs 150KP & has a CD, WCP, etc... in it. I'm not sure what you call a "Bonaza" unless you are one of those people that expect a Double EXP event all the time. Maintenance is for TI changes, fixes & ever so often to add or remove a Holiday Quest. They started adding Spotlights which are a nice treat & DO give us Double EXP & Double Drops. So people like you should stop whining every week expecting more!
i cant wait for this weeks maint... they will remove all monsters from the game because kRO told them to... or some other ridiculous BS
Obviously you are over exaggerating. The changes made WERE valid ones that should have been made long ago already. We all should be glad that we were able to still use Rudolph the way it was after the Holiday was LONG over & the Eden NPC as long as we have been able to since they both were supposed to have already been changed. Both Camptor & Oda have explained that. I think most are missing the point on that & have become spoiled.
Be happy that they gave everyone a Month to do a Free Reset whether they have used this before or not. I'm not happy about it either but they just as well could have just removed it without giving anyone a chance to use it period! People should think about it from that perspective.
Just because they are behind on a lot of things due to the fact they have been focused on other issues is no reason to be complaining.
P.S. I think they start a Sub Forum just for complaints ONLY

I think you should read what you & I said again. I did NOT jump on you.

If we're going to have TI's can't we just go back to specific maps with crazy spawn numbers? A change of music at least would be welcome.

1) Leeching the char kills with a lvl 150? You're really using this "broken" method as a reason for using the regular maps? For one thing it certainly doesn't encourage partying. Secondly, KSing would be a problem as mentioned already. For the very anti-social people, leeching your alts in the regular map is still an option. Sometimes when the spawn / map is really messed up the regular map even has more spawn than the TI map...
2) Being able to customize everything definitely gives the GMs much more flexibility on choosing monsters and map. Out of all of the high level maps, only Scarab lvl 2 and Abyss 3 are maps that people always tend to love. That and with the current system, the previous week's monsters are added in small amounts (1:4 ratio or so) so that people can finish off last week's quests. Changing BGM every now and then is definitely a good suggestion, although I personally never play with /bgm on anymore. I still don't get why the Nameless maps have such a messed up camera angle and I remember my eyes hurting during those turn ins.
3) MVPs are in many of the dungeon maps. In the old Bio 3 TIs, gwings were used to GET AWAY from the MVPs.
4) VIPs get warped to the regular map already. What difference is there really other than forcing non-VIPs to do the long tedious quests? Not to mention the ones where you do a quest each time or are very far away like Juperos Core. During the 2-3 weeks they tested using original maps again, eventually they gave non-VIPs warps too and really there is no point.
Of course, there are some disadvantages with the system. But I do think they are pretty insignificant compared to the points above.
1) People will rarely explore the "actual world" because the game revolves around TI now. I already mentioned that by nerfing Rudolf, one of the only reasonable ways to solo non-TI maps, it's just making the whole game based on turn ins only. However, the spotlights have helped a lot with this, especially the ones that include high level maps like Abyss, Nogg, and so on. Not to mention anyone who's interested in MVPing will eventually have to do the dungeon entrance quests etc. to actually reach the MVP.
2) Certain monsters appearing in maps they don't "belong" in look very "weird". Ice Titans in nogg, angra mantis in el dicastes... etc. I remember when the custom maps first came out and we were talking about what monster-map combination would make the least sense and would look really funny. Anyway I think we all got used to seeing the weirdness now and most of the time monsters / maps are kind of neutral. And I think the GMs DO put a little bit of thought into it and I remember the last time Thor monsters were in they did change the map to Thor.

A change of music at least would be welcome.
Music should be a non-issue. I for one have NEVER played with sounds even on. You can play whatever music you want to play on your own while you play. RO doesn't have to do it for you.
Patches has a point to an extent. People keep complaining & asking for so many things & the GM's just keep giving in to things like extending Events after they were supposed to end, leaving Enriched Hammer in, etc... It's like this Free Stat/Skill Reset, that people who had already used theirs, kept complaining about wanting another Free one. Now thanks to that we are no longer going to have a one time Free Stat/Skill Reset NPC in Eden after May. They got what they wanted though...

About the original map TI thing, in some cases the increased spawn may be an obstruct for people who are doing quest around the area. I'll say stick with the grandpa map.
^ this plus the increased amount of people... Talk about ks'ing
