This error is popping up because we are fiddling with the patch currently, and didn't have time to make the transition smooth.

It will stop giving the error once we are done applying the fixes, and you should be able to patch appropriately.

We don't expect this to happen every patch, it's just first day kinks.

I have the same thing, the patch got stuck in 00000012.RTP and the launcher is -18%, I think that it is true.

you can try find in your RO2 folder

MD5FileList.txt and MD5FileList.txt_Tmp

delet MD5FileList.txt_Tmp

and open MD5FileList.txt with notepad

delet all the text save and close the right klik the MD5FileList.txt properties >>> chek the read only and start the ragnarok2 again

Make sure you hang onto a copy of the original just in case...as Njoror stated...this is due to them fiddling with the patch... might mess your game up if you are missing or do not allow the updater to get files needed!

Yeah ive noticed most people do not have the tmp file...i did not have it either.

The patch gets stuck in 00000012.RTP and hangs at 1%. But what's weird is I don't see the MD5Filelist or MD5Filelist.bin. I think this patch is deleting those files. I have tried to put the MD5Filelist in the RO2 folder,open up the patcher,check on the RO2 folder and it's gone again.

Unsure of issue there...but yeah I was watching my folder as updater went and those files disappeared from said folder...

Yeah,it's only moved up to 2%. Still stuck,I know it's not my internet. Oh well,think I'll wait til there is a more stable way of updating.

Due to so much traffic and the very slow speed the patcher seems to time out after awhile... So I closed the patcher and re-opened it, it started at 00000001.RTP again.... got to 000000009.RTP and then timed out again....

So this time I went into my "C:\Games\RO2\Patches\" directory and selected all the files except the 00000009.RTP since it was not finished yet, and set them all to Read-Only. Restarted my patcher and instead of starting at 1 again, it continued on 9... it finished 9 and now I am at 12, so I made 9-11 read only and if it times out at 12, I should be able to have it restart at 12 if I have to restart the launcher.

Also you can tell for sure if its timed out or not by going into the Patches directory, looking at the file size for the one its on, so for me I would look at file 12... then refresh the window and if the file size goes up, its still downloading, if it doesn't change after 1-2 minutes, then its timed out and you will have to close and restart the launcher.

It doesn't help with the speed of things, but it keeps those having issues from restarting at 1 again making the lack of bandwidth take even longer.

It is functioning well, but the patch 00000017.rtp completes and then download the same again. Another error.

Tried looking for MD5Filelist.txt to try that solution, but I can't find it in the RO2 folder or any of its subfolders. Then it occurred to me to try launching the patcher while simultaneously watching the folder to see if any files appeared. Sure enough, the MD5Filelist files appeared for maybe half a second, then disappeared before I could react.


wat do?


EDIT: Just tried to patch again, just for kicks... and it worked. I think. I didn't get the error this time, anyway. So... cool?
