I am not using anything NVIDIA in my computer and the beta is requiring me to use a card with PHYSX... that's not really that smart to only have a game that uses one company's proprietary software... is there a work around or no?
Does this Beta ONLY work with NVIDIA?

It just require PhysX to be installed.
The download includes the setup for PhysX so just install it and everything should run

er... welll.. whatever witchcraft happened.. i installed the latest physx junk from nvidia and it works.. weird... thanks

Yo must be pretty new to PC gaming,
Don't worry PhysX is a software, for simulating Physics(Basically: It's a software that says "how to" react to certain situantions.)
And glad it worked out.
