See screen below. The glowing bit on the right is from a Poporing, whose remains becomes invisible if at the bottom of the screen like such.
Also, if you don't pick up from monster remains, they can eventually decay, but still have the gathering glow aura where they were/are, but the glow goes away once right-clicked.

Still happens in the live/release version.
