Hi!
If I can recally correctly, even at 99 you can still receive exp and that exp usually transfers to when you're a third job.
In theory then, how much base levels can you gain from that exp pool? would it be possible to actually reach 150 if you pool enough exp? (although that's bordering on lunacy)

not sure but most i ever stored was one lvl. its kinda funny to change to a 3rd job at 99, then hit a poring and turn 100 lol

You can store up as much exp as you want.
However, any time when you gain a level, if your exp total afterwards would be greater than the exp it took to gain that level, it is instead capped at that much exp.
So when you kill that poring to make it check whether you've got enough exp to level, it will give you that level, and (assuming you have enough exp saved up to hit the cap) leave you at level 100 with the amount of exp required to go from 99-100 (which is 90-some%)
