Don't tell me that it doesn't work, because it does. It DID for me and it did for RblDiver, so if it works for us, why not for you? 'Cause you're different? Probably not. Then do me a favour and try everything to make it work because I'm sure you guys are making it all wrong. Today I was finally able to play the game. I could bypass the error. I can even prove it with a screenshot after tomorrow if you want.

Finally!!! here's how to fix it! first locate your HShield folder inside your Ragnarok 2 folder mine was here " C:\Gravity\Ragnarok Online 2\HShield " then right click the " HSUpdate " and scroll down to properties, next click Compatibility and check the " Run this program as an administrator " apply and click ok. And now right click the " HSUpdate " again and Run as admin let it load till it finish. And finally go to your desktop click the " Ragnarok Online 2 " icon and there you go ("\( ^_^ )/") Enjoy Guys !!!

Bumping this up with the same problem.
 
Yesterday the game autopatched and I was able to play it just fine. Today it gives me the _ahnHS_HSUpdateex error code 30000030.
I think I tried all the suggested ways to fix it, to no avail.
 
1. I tried disabling the Firewall, although both RO2 and HS things are included in the permissions.
2. I tried running the HSUpdate.exe as admin, with Win7 compatibility - it goes to about 6-10% of the bar and just shuts down with no error messages.
3. My NVIDIA drivers are up-to-date.
4. Changing the target host of the patcher as suggested here didn't help either.
5. I also tried running autoup in the Ragnarok Online 2\HSHIELD\Update folder as admin - it gives me the cannot copy '0sgame.sc-' file. (23) error.

 

EDIT: Downloading a working HS folder and replacing the existing one with it failed as well, because the game automatically updates HSUpdate.exe ti its new, bugged version.

 

Found a solution: I got the whole updated HSHIELD folder from a friend whose updated game was working fine and replaced my buggy one with it. The game recognised it as up-to-date and didn't replace it. Now both HShield and RO2 work fine.

I Have this Problem after all. 

 

Here is my little Ragnarok 2 Patch Bug Game Bug erything Bug storry.

Yesterday i updatet after the maintenance Ragnarok 2 and startet it.

I was able to come to the loggin screen, but when i tried to log in it says: Unable to connect to server.

So i googled, Ragnaroted and Warpportaled for this Problem. 

Now i recognized that many Person have a problem with the hack shild but not with the Loggin screen.

So no one had a idea whats going on with my Ragnarok 2.

 

After this i decidet to wrote on a topic at the Ragnarok 2 Forum and the Warpportal Forum.

 

After hours of searching i decidet to reinstall the game, becouse no one wrote about that problem.

I tried to uninstall but it says: access denied.

After hours of searching again and no answer i decidet to delete it manuel. 

I loadet the game client again and tried to install but another problem startet.

 

After i lounched the downloader a "wild" message appeared.

It says Cant find Metafile. 

I searched again for hours but no answer from Ragnarok 2 only from other games with similar problems.

The answers didnt helped for Ragnarok 2 but i got a Laptop with ro 2 and a installer.

So i switched the installer to my pc and tried to install the game.

 

After i startet the installation a new error accured.

Now i havent the right to install Ragnarok 2.

I installed Ragnarok 2 earlier so i got the User on the Localgroup.

It must be something else.

after hours of searching (sounds like 2 years already ...) i couldnt find anything.

Now it was the time to give up but i had a joker after all.

 

I looked for a reply on my threat on the Ragnarok 2 and Warpportal Forum but nothing...

 

Havent any ideas left so (i thought) my last option was to set the PC to a earlier time.

This Program says: there are no earlier points to set back the pc.

Man i was cursed.... -.-

 

So after searching only a view minutes i decidet to recover my entire PC to the date when i bought it.

U think its over bwahaha. Thats Ragnarok 2 it takes the errors with the recovery.

 

So i set up my pc for the first use, loadet Ragnarok again set a User in Localgroup and installed it.

everything worked then the moment of truth. 

I lounched the game aaaand... 

_ahnHS_HSUpdateex error code 30000030

this realy sucks....

I searched again for hours to solve this problem but every tipps i get didnt worked.

Last tipp was to reinstall the game...

Again?

With the Entire PC?

I was a step ahead for this ....

 

So now....

i need a bugfix or romething like this.

Im German so sorry for my bad english.

Yes, same problem here. Tried to follow the instructions from 2014 just to see if it helped, sadly it didn't.

Hope this issue will be fixed quickly. :/

getting the same error, i logged in yesterday night and it was all ok, but when i woke up this error came, tried the fix on this post but to no avail

We updated our patcher and needed to get an updated patch file to get it working 100%.

 

The issue should be resolved when we come up.

try this option

open your ro2 folder then delete the HSHIELD folder then run ro2 again then if another error pops up,

try this option

open your ro2 folder and open the version.dat using notepad then change the numbers with 197 then save then run ro2

I'd got the same problem before. Mine works coz i go to directory and open RO2Client, when opening it ther will be some file will added on the directory
